Introduction The analysis of an art gallery entails criticizing a specific work done by an artist and responding to it through the interpretations made. When analyzing an art object, it is important to first describe the work such as the relationship of what has been done to the artist, the common shapes that have been used, contour, whether the work is a painting, architecture or a sculpture. It is also important to consider what exactly the art work is a representation of and the reason why the artist must have incorporated a certain idea and the message intended for the viewer. The piece of art work can then be interpreted from the intended view of the artist and judged to be a good art work or not. This paper will use these concepts to analyze the fountains of Bellagio found in the Las Vegas art gallery. The use of colors in the fountains of Bellagio Bright colors such as white have dominated this fountain. The fountain can be seen to have a lot of the blue color which is the best color to present water sceneries. White and blue color also complements the oceans and the sea atmosphere which can bring in the effect of relaxing and coolness. Since this is a leisure created area, the colors that have been used in these art works are meant for the lovers of the waters which can create a relaxed environment. The white color conveys a message of calmness and peace. Therefore, for any individual who would like to have a peaceful mind, this is the place to be. The colors are not only limited to the blue and white color, but these two colors are the specific colors that are used on the fountain. The other colors that have been used are the colors gold, brown and red to a certain level. These colors are meant to bring a feeling of excitement to the viewers. Apart from the day activity and viewing of the site, these colors add richness of the colors at night. The colors are rich for viewing at night and since there is a major casino in the scenery, most of the gamblers tend to come in the place at night. Thus, the bright colors can be very attractive to the night viewers. The lighting of the colors at night also blends well with the environment. The reflections of the lights have been made to bring out the red color for richness of color as well as white and gold. This brings out the sun’s natural colors that can be mostly seen during the day when the sun is shining. Therefore, this brings the effect of day time mood when night comes. More and more activities can easily be carried out at night due to the color lighting. The colors that have been mostly used in this fountain represent the excitement colors for the night and coolness colors for the night. Therefore, the colors that have been chosen for this scenery and art work convey and portray what the viewer would expect. It allows for the both the young and the old activities due to the early morning shows and the evening shows. The most exciting concepts from the coloring of the fountains are that, before the show on the fountains of waters begins, light is allowed to illuminate towers that surround the scenery. The colors that are used during this event include the color purple, for specific types of music or red, blue and white. The colors illuminated have always matched the type of music that is being played. For coolness and calmness, blue and white is used for calm music being played, while the color purple and red used for excitement songs being played. Illumination of the towers brings the attention of the viewer to the beautiful works that the towers provide. Illumination is a key concept for the fountain show as colors is what brings out the effect and feeling that is required for any particular event. The use of shapes in the fountains of Bellagio The fountains of Bellagio have executed the use of shapes in a good way. The shapes vary according to structure intended and the meaning intended for a specific event. The shapes that have dominated this fountain include the use of triangles, squares, circles, rectangles. Almost all the shapes have been represented in this fountain. In the fountain, different nozzles have been used to bring out different effects to the viewer. In total, there are four different types of the nozzles. The oarsemen nozzle is made to jet in a spherical motion to bring out the effect of continuity of motion. The shooters are made to shoot the water up directly in a vertical manner. The vertical shoot up ensures that the water that oarsemen jet continues to jet water up spherically but in a vertical manner. The super shooters send the water blast very high up the sky and into the air at about 73 meters while the extreme shooter goes up to 140 meters. The blast of water in an almost circular manner brings out the feeling of anxiety and surprise to the viewer. Well, this is the excitement that viewing such a fountain comes with. The different shapes that the fountains would not be very attractive to the audience if they all came in the same shape or all in the same direction. The double crossing of the fountains have a confusion effect to the viewer and the individual who is looking at this crossing of fountains is always alert and would like to know exactly where the water is originally coming from. This is attributed to the fact that, for any proper viewing for both individuals watching from behind the scene and in front of the scene, the semi circular shape does not impede the view. Location of the fountain The fountain was not just placed in any place for the viewer but, it has a strategic location. Central location was not considered as this would interfere with the viewing. Therefore, the fountain can be seen to strategically position at the very far end of the area of Las Vegas Gallery. The buildings have been placed in relation to the fountain display. The fountain have been put at the end for all the viewers to be able to see it and the viewers have also been given a chance of seeing this fountain from any angle and from any direction. All the angles that the viewer takes provide a good view. The tourists, visitors and the individuals who are on a business venture can access the view of the fountain from the comfort of their accommodation areas. It is thus important to consider the area of the location of the fountain and I believe that it has a good positioning for all the interested viewers. This can be evidenced from the fountain surrounding one of the hotel buildings. This means that the tourists inside this hotel can use the view from their windows to observe the fountains. More so, the strategic positioning is the best arrangement that can be given in the event of the displaying the artistic feel. Texture of the Fountain The fountain brings out the feel of different textures. Most the buildings surrounding the fountains have a smooth texture. The buildings have used a smooth texture to contradict the rough texture that comes out from the fountain whenever it is under display. The rough texture of the fountains that can be seen when the picture is painted on any individual’s mind is meant to bring out the real feel of a fountain. This can be attributed to the fact that, human beings are more interested to the natural look of a fountain; hence, the rough texture from the fountain is just the real nature of what a fountain should look like. This texture can be compared to the smooth texture that can be seen from the buildings. This variety of textures of especially the material that have been used in the building of this entire fountain blends well with the expected view from the tourists. This is the reason why, most of the visitors prefer to be checked in to the hotel that is the most closest to the fountains other than being far away from the fountain, since it has so much to offer. The surrounding of the Fountain The fountain could not have been made whole if there was no existence of the beautiful green scenery from the trees planted and also the flowering. This makes the environment of the surroundings a complete environment. The completeness can be seen from the fountains, buildings and the green environment. The flowers and the trees have been used to add the color value and also bring the color green into the picture without overusing the color but it only being seen in the trees and the flowers of the surrounding environment. Conclusion It is thus essential to incorporate the colors of nature in any artistic work. This has been evidenced through the artwork of the fountain found in the Bellagio gallery of arts. The colors that are used have equally brought out the intended feel of the fountains. These colors have also been complemented by the shapes that have dominated the fountain scenery.
