The initial cost of starting a recreational campsite is high. The number of similar businesses around will determine the prices of the campsite (Stanisavljev, Djordjevic & Cockalo, 2014).

The amount of tourists in the country affects the amount of money vacation lodges make. An external factor influences the existence of vacation lodges in the industry. Competition among various lodges is significant, and it is an external factor. An increase in disposable income increases demands vacation lodges in an area. The level of disposable income plays an important role in determining the number of tourists that will apply for the lodge (Glaeser, 2014).  In relation to, provision of quality services is an internal factor, which is under control of the business. There are few barriers to entry into the market. It has a moderate start-up cost and the main threat to the business is a similar business.

Tour Operators are prominent individuals in the tourism industry due to their services. The barrier to entry to the industry is an external factor, which the company cannot control. Barriers to the entry of the market are moderate. Advertising and marketing of the enterprise are internal, which is under the supervision of the enterprise. They can play a major role in attracting customers. Competition is by virtue of loyalty of customer and provision of quality services retains customers and builds a brand name (Day, Eliason, Wallenberg & Schumpeter, 2013).

 Capital investment is not high and competition is very high.  Online companies are a major threat to the business and it relies heavily on the existence of travel agents.
