This new age of technology has brought lot of new types of inventions. Undoubtedly the emergence of computers, chip based technology, networks, intelligent machines and especially wireless technologies has changed the world completely. Also, the techniques of wireless technology have brought a revolution in the areas of business, domestic, social and daily working areas. This technology has completely transformed the way of working and handling data, information, communication, machines and all types of working. At the present, we have more freedom of communication as compared to wire based structures. In addition, information technology, computer science, and radio technology scientists have invented various different tools and methods to reduce and minimize the load of these heavy wires for the communication and other purposes. This research is aimed at discussing one of the most excellent technology emerged in this era known as “Bluetooth”. Bluetooth is a new type of invention that offers the user to remotely link to main system without any wire. This is a new type of radio technology that offers the enhanced facility to link, transfer data and communicate without the difficulties of the huge wires around us. This research will provide a deep insight into the new and state-of-the-art technology of the Bluetooth. In this research I will present the detailed analysis of this technology emergence, innovations, and main facilities and advantages attained through this technology. 2- History According to Kohrs (2009) the emergence of Bluetooth is done centuries ago. This word has its long history and has roots in the European history. Denmark King who ruled from 940 to 981 was famous for his capability to facilitate people communication. Harald Bluetooth was the name of that King. This technology is named after the name of Harald Bluetooth (Kohrs, 2009). As Kohrs (2009) describes that logo of the Bluetooth is based on the characters from the runic alphabet that were used in the ancient Denmark. According to Beyman (2009), this logo was used by the King Harald who ruled over the Denmark and Norway (Beyman, 2009). Beyman (2009) has also outlined that initial version of Bluetooth technology was a short distance data transfer protocol that has developed through corporation of “Ericsson” in the mid 1990s (Beyman, 2009). The continued emergence has continued in this field and in December 1, 1999, Lucent, Microsoft, 3Com, and Motorola had attached to a Promoter Group for the Bluetooth technology. This group was willing to spend money to publicity the new technology standard (GSMFavorites, 2006). 3- Basic Technology of Bluetooth Every invention in the field of information technology is innovative in its nature. Bluetooth wireless technology is a standard intended for a cheap, small radio chip that is now plugged into printers, computers, mobile phones, PDAs and lot of devices require the short distance linking. The technology of the Bluetooth chip is designed and developed to replace cables for data transfer and communication which usually carried through the cable, as well as sending and transmitting it at a particular frequency to a receiver Bluetooth device or chip, that will then offer the information taken to the phone, computer or whatever (PaloWireless, 2009). According to Flint, Karvinen, McKnight, & Tee (2008) the Bluetooth is an innovative and modern type of technology in the telecommunications sector. This new technology allows connecting wirelessly to the computers, mobile phones and personal digital assistants or PDAs. This wireless connection allows easily interconnection by a short-range wireless link. In this way we can transfer data within short distance with high speed data transfer. By means of this technology, users of wireless technology, cellular phones, PDAs can purchase a 3in1 mobile phone that is able to offer facility of portability at the office or home. It also presents the capability to obtain rapidly synchronized information in a notebook or desktop computer. At the present, this technology implementation at business sector facilitates in sending or receiving a fax, virtual business meeting, working collaboration, initiate a print-out and also the facility of the fixed computer devices complete coordinated. Examples of these devices consist of desktop computers, handheld computers, PDAs, smart phones, notebook computers, handsets, microphones, digital cameras, fax machines, and printers. Windows XP contains built-in Bluetooth facility that helps users without problems to configure Bluetooth communications (Flint, Karvinen, McKnight, & Tee, 2008) and (Shelly, Cashman, & Vermaat, 2005, p.476). According to (Shelly, Cashman, & Vermaat, 2005, p. 476), Bluetooth technology makes use of short-range radio waves for the communication between two Bluetooth devices. However, the speed of the data transfer between devices is just about 1Mb/sec. Also, to communicate with each other, the distance between Bluetooth devices must be about 10 meters (which is equal to 33 feet) however it can be expanded to 100 meters using extra equipment. In addition, a Bluetooth device comprises a tiny chip that permits it to transfer data to other Bluetooth devices (Shelly, Cashman, & Vermaat, 2005). 4- Bluetooth versions According to Beyman (2009), there are total three versions of the Bluetooth technology available in the market. Each version has incorporated better innovative features and technologies in its working structure. Bray & Sturman outlined about the Bluetooth Version 1.X that was developed in the early days of the Bluetooth based products standardization (Bray & Sturman, 2005). The second version of Bluetooth technology was Version 2.X that was released in November 2004. The second version augmented the speed of data transfer by using Bluetooth protocol. This version was also backwards compatible by Bluetooth 1.1. Some new innovations were also done in this version and better version Bluetooth 2.1 was released in July 2007 (Beyman, 2009). According to Beyman (2009) the latest version of the Bluetooth technology is Version 3.X that offers enhanced data speed as well as less power consumption. This version has released on April 2009 (Beyman, 2009). 5- Advantages and uses of Bluetooth technology This section is aimed at offering the advantages and uses of the Bluetooth technology. In this section I will assess the main uses of this technology that are also the main advantages of this technology structure. 5.1- Bluetooth technology for personal use The main and fundamental use of the Bluetooth technology is for the personal usage. This technology structure is now implemented in all small portable communication and entertainment devices. As I have stated earlier that this technology is operational at areas of personal life such as in personal commuters, mobile phone, PDAs or any time of personal and communication devices (Bray & Sturman, 2005). 5.2- Bluetooth Technology for Business To assess the significance, innovation, and deployment of the Bluetooth technology in business sector we need to determine if Bluetooth technology is suitable for a business. For this reason, initially organization needs to know what it is as well as how they could make use of it to profit and facilitate their organization. However, the implementation of the Bluetooth technology presents organizations to build automatic, wireless and inexpensive means to communicate business management and handling devices. There are lots of devices in the business information systems that are coming out by means of Bluetooth capabilities. A number of comprise handhelds and cell phones. Another innovative quality of Bluetooth is that, it is a networking system that does not necessitate a router. We are able to transmit data and information without making use of Internet and cables connection (BusinessKnowledgeSource, 2009). The Bluetooth technology at business information system utilizes a weak signal so it doesnt interfere by means of cell phone signal or additional signals. This technology is similar to the radio signal technology. Bluetooth technology frequently has a data transmission range of 10 meters. The main factor in this technology is the weak signals that do not have the capability to travel further than that (Businessknowledgesource, 2009) and (Shelly, Cashman, & Vermaat, 2005). 5.3- Bluetooth technology for Business Information System At business we can see extensive implementations of the Bluetooth technology. The business information systems can be interconnected by using the Bluetooth technology in different departments. The technology of the Bluetooth offers the facility to link the business and data of information system in different business divisions. Also, the Bluetooth technology at information system presents the capability to transmit data and information without eastablishing huge structure and wirings of the cables. In addition, this also facilitates the business by offering less cost of structure establishment, handling, management, and controlling (BusinessKnowledgeSource, 2009). 8- Disadvantages and weakness of Bluetooth technology Wildstrom (2005) has outlined that the high level or Class 1 base Bluetooth teachnology use is dangerous for the human body. The raditions from this bluetooth device can cause some sort health hazards or risk of some disease (Wildstrom, 2005). Another disadvantage is that, in case of huge business structure and large information system structure we can face problems with the Bluetooth technology because it does not permit data transfers at huge distance. In this case this technology is not effectively operational. It is suitable for only office based communications and data handling (Shelly, Cashman, & Vermaat, 2005). 9- Conclusion Although, every inventation brougth by information technology incorporate innovative features, and Bluetooth can be considerd one of the most innovative inventions of information technology. The use of Blutooth technology is increasing day by day and people are taking advantages from this technology. This reseatch has presented a detailed overview of this new type of invention. In this paper I have tried to cover approximalty all areas of the technology and working structure. I hope that this research will offer a deep insight into the overall technology structre. 10- References 1. Beyman, M. J. 2009. Who Invented Bluetooth Technology?
