"Technology and the Environment"

Analysis of all the advancements in technology reveals that they pollute the environment. In an optimistic view, the two primary options available for control of this adverse effect of technology on the environment include pollution control and clean production. This essay analyzes and focuses on recommendations, that are needed to reduce level of pollution in modern technology.

Interventions adapted to control the environmental effects of technology can either address the problems before they are created or after they are created. This involves controlling pollutants from an establishment before entering the environment.
Types of pollution, such as air, waste, and water polution are described in this essay. The researcher also provides some recommendations on the topic. Air pollution can be controlled through filters and other appliances that remove contaminants from smoke. Water pollution can be reduced through removing impurities while incinerators can reduce the volume of waste disposed by an enterprise. Clean production is an intervention preferred to mitigate unfavorable environmental impacts of technological advancement.

In the end of the essay, researcher concludes that the mankind these days can organize a safer, cheaper and more efficient way of reducing waste through better process control. Also people need to make changes to reduce energy consumption and it's cost, identify and produce a market for a material that was regarded as waste. Read More
