Risk of Crime and Violence Insert Insert Crime and violence are global problems that need to be addressed. The human race that face individuals, subject them to risks and uncertainties in their day-to-day activities. The paper here presents aspects of risks that are associated with crime and violence through behavior modification. Research shows that people who undergo mental issues during their development will likely indulge in crime and other forms of instability in life. The race also matters some studies have found out that blacks are involved in crimes and violence than whites which have raised discussion concerning the same. Youthful people who suffer from mental health problems throughout their lifetimes are at the highest risk of becoming involved in crime. The reason behind that are their mental abilities and emotions are not stable and may make up their minds. Most children suffering from oppositional defiant disorder and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder are most likely to be involved in the crimes. ADHD is characteristic of persistent attention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. These children are liable to have careful behaviors in adulthood adolescent. Most ADHD children show signs to persist antisocial offensive pattern into adulthood and are likely to end up in leading criminal life. Youths with anxiety and somatic disorders are not likely to be involved in violent acts; anxiety contemplates other forms of disturbing problem behaviors mostly in boys. It shows that anxiety disorder may be a preventive factor against aggressive behavior. They will spend most of their energies and time in coming up with solutions towards their current problems. Depressive disorders have been linked to destructive behavior in youths. This disorder in children and adolescent are associated with violent behavior such as suicide attempts. Adolescents who experience high level of violence in the family are more likely to be linked to criminal offenses and violence (Hovmand, Peter, David, Ingrid and Kyriakakis, 2009). It is evident that children who come from families where some of the members have mental health issues are at the risk of aggressive behavior. Some who associate themselves with other children with aggressive behavior are at high danger of being involved. In that regard, youths who come from families where some of the members have mental health issues are at the risk of aggressive behavior. Family and community factors also connect to violent behavior among the youth. Parenting plays and important role in the development of children. The research has shown that supportive parents help their children avoid criminal activities, and children from unsupportive parents have been linked to crimes and misconduct. Research has also demonstrated that having family members involved in criminal activities increases the chances that the other members are getting involved in misconduct. The neighborhood conditions and their influence linked to the risk of crimes and violence. Communities tend to be segregated based on race and can form neighborhood crime from retaliatory attacks from ret. Families living in isolated and disorganized areas may form social network in their area, which are associated with crime and violence. This is because they lack attitude and goals. Americans generally hold a strong association between race and crimes within their neighborhood, which leads to victimization in the environment with a high population of black people. Poverty levels in these areas also result in youths engaging in crimes. The ability that links someone to crime and violence is independent of the gender yet research shows that males are more likely to be related to it than women are. Women are inhibited by their responsibilities that are being a wife and a mother to someone. They are more liable to avoid crime due to concern for others and fear to be separated from their loved ones. Girls are usually closely supervised and discouraged from misbehaving while boy are often considered risk takers. This careful monitoring of girls reduces the influence of aggressive behaviors. Physical strength also reduces the ability of women to be involved in violence since they cannot compete with male. Access to criminal opportunity is another reason female involvement is low since they can hold all kind of jobs such as a truck driver, which would provide an opportunity to be linked to crime. Motivation is another reason for low involvement in female since their loved ones motivate them while men are motivated to build their status. High-quality care in the early years of a baby matters in the future to avoid violence. The right upbringing in the development stage of the mental powers leads to maturity in making informed decisions. Growing in foster care enables the children to grow up with high chances of being involved in violence because they lack proper parental attention. While children who grew up in a real family are likely to have good behavior, the others do not receive right counsel and meet friends who might not be upright. Peer influence is another thing that leads to crimes and violence (Wareham, Jennifer and Paquette-Boots, n.d.). Peer influence contributes to both the positive aspects and negative pointers. By going to school, children usually in a position of being controlled by having bad behaviors by their peers. Education shapes the state of thought by expanding the reasoning capability and solution options. Through this, they can learn how to exploit the people in the community. With weak supervision from parents, the children can pick the behaviors. Divorce is also linked to violence and criminal acts. Research shows that during the early life of a child, they are emotionally attached to the mother and if this is, interrupted permanent harm is caused. In that case, the child might not be able to trust anyone. Unemployment and job loss cause high poverty, which in turn leads to seeking for other options to make the ends meet hence resolve to crime and violence (Henne, Kathryn and Troshynski, 2013). Study has shown that rising unemployment causes increase in crime and violence because it exerts a consistent and significant effect on the total property crime rate. The idle youth and the psychological state predispose them to lead a crime life to make a leaving regardless of the moral aspects associated with their acts. The government should work to provide jobs at reasonable wages to encourage its citizens to work towards productivity and policy makers should use such studies to reflect on strategies they use to deal with negative social behaviors. It reduces the crime therefore stabilizing income. A child who is abused sexually is likely to have low self-esteem, feeling unworthy abnormal view of sex due to stigmatization. It leads to a child been mistrustful of adults and may resolve for suicide, terminating their lifes. Some have difficulty relating to others, and others become child abusers and prostitutes when they reach adulthood. Education level and quality that a person receives is important in determining if one is linked to crime and violence or not. There is a significant disparity between education of the inmate population and general population. It shows that those who engage in crimes have a low level of education. Education works to develop many social skills that prevent children from engaging in crime; this is because school stress behavior many behaviors such as respect and good citizenship that are not useful in the criminal world. Education also gives students a future driven life, which makes them patient and less likely to take the risks that are associated with criminal activity (Maurutto, Paula and Hannah-Moffat, 2007). Family and group calculates likewise interface with savage conduct among the adolescent. Child rearing assumes and vital part in the improvement of kids. The examination has demonstrated that strong folks help their youngsters evade criminal exercises, and kids from unsupportive folks have been connected to wrongdoings and wrongdoing. Exploration has additionally shown that having relatives included in criminal exercises builds the chances that alternate individuals getting included in unfortunate behavior. Neighborhood conditions are likewise connected to danger of law violations and roughness. Groups have a tendency to be isolated on the premise of race and can structure neighborhood wrongdoing. Families living in separated and muddled regions might likewise structure informal organization in their general vicinity, which are connected with wrongdoing and savagery (Murray, Jennifer and Thompson, 2010). This is because they need disposition and objectives. Americans largely hold an in number relationship in the middle of race and wrongdoings inside their neighborhood, which prompts exploitation in the earth with a high populace of dark individuals. Destitution levels in these ranges likewise bring about adolescents taking part in unlawful acts. Education, therefore, should be emphasized among youths and prisoners to help them not get back to crime. Religion and religious practices also lead to people linked to crimes and violence. Their actions in life are influenced by their religious beliefs. Some promote strange believe that believe that killing is not a sin or that they have religious reasons for doing so. Religious practices divide people in the society, and others take up crimes and violence in the name of religion. For instance, a society with Hindu religionist become increasing anti-Christian and anti-Muslim.Churches are most in this region are burnt down, and their compression murdered in contradiction of freedom of worship. Some believe the scriptural violence can foster aggression among the believers. While other, feel as though God is guiding them. Generally the capacity of person being linked to risk of crime and violence highly depend on the society that one lives in and good parental upbringing Good education will help students and youths focus on their good and lack time to get involved in crime.
