How Summer Camp Workers Can Safeguard The report is based on the climatic reasons in Europe; there are four main seasons in Europe namely spring, supper, autumn and winter. Among the four seasons, summer is the only season that people could have fun being in the hot sun. Since chances of having sun above the sky are as hard to come by as everything else, people converge at camp sites to have fun and share information. Every camp site employs workers (Berns 98). Most of the people employed at the camp sites had to take with them their children s that they would be complete since it is in ethical to leave the children at home while working in a place that they could also fit without any difficulties. The differences in living standards created a rift between the children from the camping parents with the camp workers children especially due to differences in economic levels. Sporting activities are some of the events that would influence flexibility in children (Berns22). According to government reports, avert child matters and should be encouraged since children get to learn about each other’s perception (Liz & Hillary 56). Terms of reference The report focuses explicitly on the performance of summer camp workers in the process to mould and develop children’s perception towards a collaborative community that would embrace and understand the reason of having others within the community. The camp workers are supposed to have vast expertise in handling children and young adults in a better way to avoid misunderstandings, this creates rapport with the children to avert the impasse between children, peers and parents caused by lack of enough time to share and compare ideas towards child development (Berns 77). Through engagement in sporting activities children often open up to share their personal issues are secrets with the groups or individuals who are close to them. The process leads to mutual understanding hence better understanding of whom we are and the set objectives in life. Procedurally children would perform without allegations, suspicion or abuse of power since some of them are bully and would deviate from instructions when given chance to control their own programs (Liz & Hillary 79). The organization should be responsible for all children since it is within their jurisdiction to protect the children. However, this would not be performed literally, through eomplyed camp workers, organization identified and designated the workers the responsibility to safeguard the children while at the camp. During the process, the organizational management is also responsible for delegating duties to the respective camp workers depending on areas of specialization (Berns 30). In relation to the organizational practice and care for children and young people. Children often engage in activities that lead to accidents hence the camp workers are mandated to keep an eye on the children to ensure that they are often involved in games and sports which are not harmful to their lives prompting for insurance policies (Liz & Hillary 33). Exposure to danger Children are prone to dangerous encounters since they often perceive that experience is the best teacher. However, is likely to cause a humanitarian emergency if the camp workers fail to accomplish their work in safeguarding the affected area. In order for the camp workers to create a rapport with children, it is adept that they humble themselves so that the children would be able to approach them with any information that would be of importance to both the children and the managerial staff within the work jurisdiction (Berns 29). Children often fail to interact with their peers and foes due to factors which are not limited to transitional, structured chronic poverty and social conclusion. The camp workers should be able to demonstrate unity and social conclusion through organizing activities within the sports arena that would not create a difference between children from the wealthy families and their counterparts from poor families (Liz & Hillary 60). Children who end up in sports clubs may not be from well off families, some of them exhibit natural disabilities which should be handled with due care. The camp workers should consider all children in summer camps equal but more cared should be shown towards the special cases like children with cognitive impairment and children with physical disability so that they also get engaged in sports for both pleasure and physical fitness to release stress and depression (Berns 87). Children in most cases react the same way as their parents do; however, the camp workers often have difficulties to determine the changing character traits of the children under their care. It is adept for the worker to admit that children and young adults depicts different traits at different stages of development, some of the characters would be outrageous which others are impressive with specific targets (Liz & Hillary 104). Unless such changes are identified, it would be difficult to streamline the children to work as a team since their instincts do not encourage interactivity within distinct time periods in life. The fragility in young adults requires skillful understanding so as to win their trust; unless camp workers realize the need to dedicate enough time to learn the trick, it would be worthless staying in the sports camp since the children would not be better after the summer camp sports treat (Berns 69). Levels of protection Camp workers are advised to suggest to the children the levels involved in protection to equip them with information same so that incase of any emergency situation they would be able to find an alternative way to approach an issue at hand. Effective child protection can be developed not only through sports as a social level but also other avenues like common, non-statutory and statutory elements in comprehensively synchronized mode (Liz & Hillary 115). Within the summer camp, camp workers are supposed to come up with community systems, strategies that groups children of peer groups and assigning them to specific camp workers who are solely mandated to monitor and direct the specified group towards shaping their interactive and social behavior to be able to fit in the community there after. The strategy would enable the children correctively interpret child protection within different disciplines which is essential in building an effective child protection system within the country and internationally through mutual understanding (Berns 102). Participation in summer camps Through involvement and active participation in summer camps, workers are supposed to support community based child protection groups through educating the children on other places where they can access such services since summer camps are not availed during other seasons while children require the services every now and then (Liz & Hillary 10). Such groups are enshrines within the international guidelines for instance Guidelines on mental and Psychological Support in Emergency Settings, which are also illustrated in the Paris Principles (Berns 45). Young adults may be able to know their HIV status depending on the progress of their partners; however, if by chance the y realizes that signs indicating that they are infected with the disease their mode of operation would likely be affected. Such cases are often monitored by the camp workers to ascertain the truth behind the perception (Liz & Hillary 29). As long as this may be the case, some children and young adults within the summer camps who are under in fluency of adolescence are likely to showcase difference scenarios that would be regrettable afterwards, such cases should be identified and corrected without involving force so that the young adults would appreciate the support and rapport from the summer camp workers instead of developing fear and hatred while the workers are ready to assist them develop and make good citizens in future (Berns 103). Despite attending summer sport some children may not be interested much in sports since choice, tastes and preference differs with individuals; instead they may be wondering how to better their academic performance. Such children would be characterized by meditation and pondering on perceived situations and superstition hence it is within the mandate of the camp workers to identify with such characters and group them to ensure that their dreams are nurtured to full capacity so that when next semester approaches (Liz & Hillary 49). The children would positively engage in education and other areas of interest to their best.
