China Introduction If one takes a close look at the world of global politics, one can not help noticing that in the majority of the cases it is dominated by a handful of countries. Indeed, nothing much changed from the time when two block system was in place: nowadays there three or even four states that are able to have a considerable impact on the world themselves as in the previous ages. It is beyond any doubt that China should be seen as one of them. Unlike the United States of America, a state that is known for its innovations, or Russian Federation, a country which is known for its aggressive military behavior, China has not been able to earn good reputation in any of the above mentioned fields. A Chinese analog has always been seen as a cheaper version of an American product, while the Chinese army, surely one of the most numerous ones, has never been heard to be engaged in any serious actions. Nevertheless, the economy of China is booming and many people think that this country will soon become even greater. This paper will show that despite a considerable number of internal problems, Rise of China is inevitable because it knows how to cope with them. Censorship It is quite obvious that the image of China in the media is closely connected to censorship that takes place in it. Indeed, for many people the World Wide Web is seen as an alternative platform which is free from any political influence, but this kind of thinking can hardly be shared by the Chinese. The latter often can not access a considerable number of web sites or services that constitute everyday routing for the people in the West. It is surely one of the internal problems that should be solved in order to minimize the possibility of civil unrest in China. However, if one takes a look at this situation from a different perspective, one will be able to see that censorship is one of the corner stones of the stability in China. It is true that the people of this country are not able to use various social networks, but this is exactly what keeps this state away from any radical movements that the idea of which can be spread via the Web. This means that a probability of any kind of revolution in China is smaller which contributes to Rise of this country in future. Natural resources Other than being blessed in terms of the population, China is also the third largest country in the world. This means that the amount of natural resources that are available in it is tremendous. Despite that fact, the Chinese are not willing to organize their economy around export of those, just like the Russians do. In China, there is a completely different attitude towards nature. Nowadays, the government is concerned with deforestation and initiated several programs that make sure that the number of trees is not only restored, but is increased. Keeping in mind the ongoing climatic changes due to global warming, the effort that is being made by China is incredibly positive and contributes to the good of the entire humanity. That is why there is no wonder that such a country that cares about the environment and performed effective actions to save is will rise to its glory. Recruiting in army The population of China has always been regarded as a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, the numerous people are able to contribute to economy, but, on the other hand, there is a constant need to place limits on the number of people born. Indeed, one child policy has been a legend and appears to be effective. However, it negatively affects the army: in such peaceful times, young men and women are willing to choose a different path for their career which leads to the situation that less and less people will be recruited by army officials. In other words, this holds a potential for a security problem for this country. Nevertheless, China was able to cope with this too: it introduced changes in the army and made sure that one soldier was as effective as several. So, with a declining number of people joining the armed forces, the country is still well protected which is an irreplaceable prerequisite of Rise of China. Air pollution In spite the fact that the Chinese government takes environmental problems seriously, there are still issues that have not been fully resolved. One of them is air pollution in Beijing. It is suggested that the levels of it are so bad that organism of a person is affected since the early childhood. It is obvious that this posses a great difficulty for the children who are not able to develop properly. Even though the problem is very serious, the Chinese are trying to cope with it on a personal level (promoting wearing masks), local level (encouraging people to walk and use bicycles more) and state level (national programs to reduce air pollution). One can hardly doubt that in the long run this environmental issue will be dealt with as well and will not become an obstacle on the way of Rise of China. Love hunters Another adverse effect of the oversized population is the disproportion of supply and demand when it comes to forming a couple. There are many wealthy people in China and some of them are willing to spend tremendous amounts of money to find a perfect spouse. This contributes to the rise of a love hunter profession: a person who browses the crowd in search of ideal matches. On the other hand, there is another variation of love hunters: parents seeking a match for their children while the latter are busy working. For people who come from other countries, such a pragmatic approach towards love might seem rude. However, it is surely rational: in the society where people compete to work, they often do not have time to look for a romantic partner; yet, families should be formed and children should be raised. Inhumane working conditions Is there is a connection between a high end electronic device that is a symbol of the modern technological development and an ordinary Chinese person who desperately tries to make a living? There is no doubt in that: the latter manually assembles the former. Many companies who took their production sites overseas are being criticized for exploiting the locals and paying them ridiculously small amount of money for a kind of work that could be done by a machine. While the majority of the world feels sorry for these people, it is quite obvious that they are responsible for bring a tremendous amount of money into the local economy. After all, these people were forced by the external conditions to work that way and are quite happy to make a living. That is why such economic phenomenon should be seen as one of the elements to will contribute to Rise of China in future. Conclusion Having examined all the points, one might make a logical conclusion: there are many internal problems that may be witnessed in China and affect different areas of social life of this country; nevertheless, there is a way to cope with every single problem and the Chinese people will surely find a way to deal with them. No matter how difficult the circumstances may be, this nation will be able to turn bad into good and witness rise of its country. Read More
