Extract of sample "Organizational Communications and Leadership"

It is a common happening to find people like Chuck in almost every organization or place of work. Dealing with people like Chuck often becomes very difficult for both the managers and the supervisors. Sams response to dealing with Chuck carries with it both negative and positive impacts of the culture and perceptions of power in the organization depending on the decisions made by Sam (Zaremba 3). If Sam proceeds to recommend Chuck's behavior as acceptable, most employees who are often undermined by Chuck may feel offended.

They will feel unsafe around Chuck and their work relationship between them, and the Ramirez will become sour. They may feel that their manager is incapable of taming rogue behaviors in the organization and as such adopt their survival mechanisms that will be against the spirit of teamwork. In the current annual review, Sam Ramirez should remain steadfast and indicate the exact character of Chuck irrespective of the outcome and the reaction of Chuck. Despite the fact that Chuck is the most outstanding performer, it is prudent that he learns or adopts good and effective interpersonal communication skills that will enable productive coexistence between coworkers (Zaremba 3).
