Public health campaigns are the docket of clinical sociologists where they are involved even in policy council facilitation; carrying out research that may involve the policy partners as well as handling any conflicts that may arise during the work process. Clinical sociologists also liaise with other medical professionals such as psychologists, sociologists, psychiatrists, social workers in corrective service as well as medical personnel among others.

This is important because the health of a patient is affected by the living conditions he or she is currently in or likely to be in in the near future. When a patient is recuperating, he needs all the attention necessary which brings the need for individualized therapy approach more specialized than what can be offered by psychologists (Bruhn & Rebach 115). The patients will also need coaching on how to reintegrate back into society especially those who have been in hospital or specialized care away from society for a while. All these can be made possible by granting more power and roles to clinical sociologists.
