The achievement-oriented leader is the one that gains satisfaction from creating something that has value. The manner in which the task is completed is the main concern of the achievement-oriented leader. For instance, the quality of the task and the manner in which the allocated time was observed in the completion of the task are critical to this leader. An example of such a leader is former Apple CEO Steve Jobs who is known for setting challenging goals and meeting them through production of high quality products (Jones, 2013). Affiliation motivated leader is mostly concerned with helping other individuals in the organization and the overall quality of teamwork. Relationships between parties in the organization are central in the working of this leader. Google CEO, Larry Page, is a good example of an affiliation leader as he emphasizes on teamwork, which has led to the establishment of a highly interactive workplace at Google (Page, n.d).
