Impacts of Sociology on the Behaviour of PeopleIntroduction Sociology has great impacts on the lives of people and its contribution to shaping the society cannot be trivialized at any moments. The structure of the society is greatly guided by the study of the society. Families can coexist within the society and sociology has a pivotal role to influence the interactions and the socio-economic activities of people.Impacts of sociologySociology influences the behaviour of people in the society.

This is an enormous effect of sociology on the members of the society. The way people behave in a society can be influenced differently depending on the social control instituted to guide behaviour[Thi05]. The scientific study of society, therefore, explains deeply why people behave in a certain manner. People have different views on the societal behaviour hence making sociological imagination vary. Sociology also has huge impacts on how people understand the social life of other people.

The lives of people in a society impacts the lives of other people. This helps people understand and appreciate why some people do value some societal practices like circumcision. Those individuals who fail to do a certain activity or rite like circumcision can be ostracized and can be viewed as outcasts. The contribution of sociology in this case scenario is to enable people understand the social life of a society[Thi05].Sociology plays a central role in influencing the culture of people. Some cultural practices have become outdated, and sociology enables people to comprehend that the society is dynamic.

This enables the society to achieve social equality where women are given a say in the society. This eliminates male chauvinism and practices like female mutilation can be eliminated in the society.Sociology impacts the human interaction within the sphere of the society. As members of the society people are supposed to interact continuously as they exchange ideas. There is no society that can exist if there is no interaction. The society can exist with perpetual interaction. Sociology gives people advice and direction on how they should interact for the society to achieve progress.

Sociology affects how social problems can be solved in case a social issue arises. If a society does support women violence, sociology should swing into action by enabling people understand how that affects the functionalism of the society[Web09]. Women are the builders of the society, and the violation of their rights can put the society into asunder. This also enables women to realize that they have the right to engage in businesses that uplifts their economic positions in a society.Sociology impacts how social policies should be formulated.

The policies of the society must guide the society on how they should react and act upon some happenings. In a society there are social forces that perpendicularly act upon people. The society should then have the rules and regulations that guide the leaders of the society on how to handle some incidents. People who break the policies of the society should be punished and admonished in regard to the rules set aside to guide behaviour (Weber,2009).Sociology influences the perceptions of the society where people can change their sociological perspectives on some events and happenings that a certain society practices.

If people perceive that a man is the only person that can make the best leader then that perception should be averted to achieve gender equity.ConclusionIn conclusion, sociology enables people to attain human and social welfare as they interpret various societal occurrences and behaviour. Unusual happenings should be understood and explained with care and wisdom to find the right solutions to social problems. ReferencesThi05: , (Thio, 2005), Web09: , (Weber, 2009),
