Extract of sample "Post-Racial Society"

If a man gets a bride who comes from a very rich family financially, he is able to raise his class. On the contrary, women do not have as much leverage culturally. They often have to choose husbands from among the proposals made available to their parents by the interested men and/or their families. So a girl might have wanted to marry a richer man but has to ultimately resort to marrying someone who is not that well-off financially.
Q. 2: Ans.
Being a post-racial society means that discrimination between people on the basis of race has been ousted from the society at large. Being post-racial, the society offers equal opportunities of healthcare, education, jobs, and all sorts of facilities to people belonging to any race. Race is just excluded from the equation at all levels in society. However, America is yet not a post-racial society. This is explained by the large racial wealth gap that exists between whites and blacks in America. Research suggests that the wealth gap between the two has tripled from 1984 to 2009.
