Divorce Therapy Insert Insert Faith Saxton I am in agreement with you that divorce is not easy for any individual. I also agree with you that the children are highly affected by divorce cases in the family. This is because; it is always difficult for children to live with the support of their paternal parents. I further agree with you that there are three major steps that a divorce therapist should follow when handling a divorce case. First, the couples are given time to grieve about the divorce.

This enables them to attend the sessions with a clear mind. I concur with you in the argument that the precedent step involves identification of the problem which led to the divorce as well as the current problem the individuals are facing. I agree with you that, the therapist provides individuals with the mechanisms of coping with the problem at hand. I further agree with you that the children of the affected individuals should be taken through a counseling sessions. The children are also allowed to interact with others who have undergone the same situations (Kanel, 2014).

Lorie Moore I completely concur with you that the ABC crisis model is the best approach for handling couple with the intention of divorcing. I further agree with you that following the correct steps of the ABC model of crisis provides the therapist with the best mechanism of counseling divorcing couples. This serves in analyzing the problems facing the couple’s marriage and finding the appropriate solution. The ABC model of crisis entails an initial step of developing a rapport with the couples.

This ensures that the couple develops trusts towards the therapist hence they can easily open up. I further agree with you that, the second step involves a review of the dynamics of marriage between the affected couples. This implies that the therapist asks questions regarding the couple’s relation with each other as well as their children. Moreover, I agree with you that the therapist should focus on the intimate issues affecting the couple. This ensures that a couple opens up on personal issues affecting the marriage.

I also also agree with you that the therapist should provide a summary of the issues affecting the marriage and come up with an appropriate solution (Kanel, 2014). I further agree with you that the bible encourages Christians to fulfill the promises made in their marriage vows and also supports the use of appropriate methods of finding solutions to their marriage crisis (Genesis 2:20, NLT).ReferenceKanel, K. (2014). A guide to crisis intervention. New York: Cengage Learning.
