Pankhurst’s daughters Sylvia and Christabel were among the WSPU membership. The WSPU led by Emmeline Pankhurst soon embarked on safeguarding the ideals of a movement aimed at securing the suffrage rights for women in order to enhance their participation in the democratic process as men.
