Download file to see previous pages... The Hasidim is yet another extra-ordinary group by Schaefer & Zellner. Contrary to the gypsies, who interact with the non-gypsies for material and financial wealth, Hasidim organizational objectives aim at creating detached utopias. Separate utopias; make this group of people untainted. They are alienated from the possibility of mingling with other people that may not relate to their way of life, who they term as gentiles in the society.
The Hasidim were stanch followers of their organization’s religion. In their religion, Hasidim aimed at implementing the laws of heavenly religion to the earth. This can be interpreted in that, the followers of this religion worked towards ensuring that the rules of God- fearing form of living are adhered to the letter. By this, they believed that, they are setting a good example to the non followers, who would in turn be attracted to their way of life, and join in the movement.
The Hutterites are an extra ordinary group of individuals that speak the Tyrolean language. Their economy is organized along machinery and equipment that contribute towards development of their economies. In terms of leadership, Hutterites have a hierarchy, whereby unwritten rules are imparted on individuals in the society. The group operates under a council, which includes ministers who act as the mediator during community festivities. Ministers also handle disputes, either major or minor, in the society. From the council is the manager of all businesses in the group, who has the responsibility of maintaining the group’s source of wealth, through constant supervision of the group’s activities.
