The created art is important within its surrounding because it acts as a form of entertainment especially where visual media is used. Other like photographs and painting are used in the decoration of houses. During presentation of performing arts like music, dances and films, the attraction of audiences is one of the factors that should be considered for the presentation to take place (Allen, 2012, pp44). Therefore, it is important for the presenters to present their presentation to the right audience and be able to attract a good number of the audience. Nowadays, it presenter finds it difficult to attract many audiences for their presentation, which may be because of various factors like wrong choice of the audience. This report, therefore, provides cause, findings, recommendations and research methods that result to poor turn over during arts presentation in the present world. Background of the Research Report: This report, which is based on the top “Aging of Art Audience: A Current Issue in Arts”, is a report conducted to gather information and find some causes and solutions to poor turn over during presentation of various arts. Without audiences, presentation of the arts cannot take place; therefore, presenters should be able to attract audience during their presentation. This has been one of the problems of the presenter in the modern days resulting to low income in their area of specialization (Allen, 2012, pp44). During the research, it was found that one the causes of poor attraction of audience during representation is lack of exposure, especially to younger generation. Rapid development in the sector of Information Technology has diverted the attention of the younger generation in the artistic work because they concentrate on other site like the internet that provide many artistic work either freely or at cheaper prices. Therefore, adequate information over the internet attracts younger generation making it difficult for the artist to attract a good number of audiences during their presentation. Due to high charges by the theater halls and the artist during their presentation, is also another cause of poor attraction during presentation many audiences because they believe they can get the same taste of entertainment over the internet or other forms of communications such as through televisions and radios (Allen, 2012, pp44). The research also showed that poor audiences’ attendance during artists’ presentation is lack of ideas by the artist. In the modern days, younger generations are used to different varieties of artistic work because they are all over. Therefore, for them to be attracted to any form of artist presentation they must be convinced that the presentation is unique from the artist works they are used for; this helps them to avoid monopoly. During the research, it was also noted that choice of location and audience is another factor that greatly contribute to absence of audiences during presentation. Before any presentation is held, it is important for the artist to consider the location where the presentation is to take place. The targeted audience would mostly trigger this decision. For instance, it would be wrong for an artist to present performance that target the older generation to the younger people. This will result to poor attendance by the audience because the work is for a wrong group (Allen, 2012, pp44). During performance, especially dancing, poetry and dancing performance, it is required for the performance to produce good performances in order to entertain the audiences. Some of the practices that most audience requires include the use of facial expressions and uniformity in the performance. These give the audience easy time in following and understanding of the performances. Through meeting all these conditions, an artist will be able to attract many audiences during his or her performance. During research period, it was noted that most of the younger generation are more interested in emerging arts more than the older arts. This process leads to the diminishing of various older arts that was based on cultural practices, such as wrestling, and other sporting activities like telling stories. These traditional form of arts are important even to the younger generation because they portray various teaching to the community (Allen, 2012, pp45). Therefore, through concentration of the younger people in upcoming arts, like jazz music, also contribute to absence of audience in some art performance, as they may be regarded outdated ones. Moreover, another burning issue in the world of art is creativity. Different people have different taste of their form of entertainment. Therefore, in order for any artist to make people love his or her work of art, it is important to consider some of the cultural practices of the targeted groups. This would give an idea of the likes and dislike of the audiences, which would help them provide the required work as per the expectation of the audience. Methodology In order for the search to be successful, it was important for the best methodology to be used in deciding the type of data to be collected, the process in which the required data was to be gathered, process used in data analysis and some of the limitations and evaluation of the collected data. Literature review was the methodology used during the research of this project, where different type of materials such as journal articles, books, magazine and other internet sources contain relevant information were researched (Allen, 2012, pp45). The method of data collection was simple, different materials with relevant information about arts work and the audiences were searched through the internet, and other sources such as online library. After the collection of the materials, thorough studies of the materials were done in order to compare information to come up with proper findings. Data analysis of the research was done through comparison, where different type of information from various materials was compared. Some of the similarities and differences found were recorded and analysis. After the analysis, information of help after proper study of the materials was recorded. Limitations of the Evaluation of the Research Project: During the collections of the finding for the research, various limitations were encounters that affected the process in one way or the other. For instance, by using different materials from the internet, most of the information was confusing as they contain different information as per the writers’ point of view. This was a major problem especially during the analysis of the materials (Allen, 2012, pp45). Another limitation experience during the research project is that most of the materials collected had limited information containing the topic in the question, which made it difficult for the researchers to come up with adequate information as expected. This forced the researches to analyze the available information thoroughly for them to have proper conclusion on the matter. Moreover, another limitation encounters during research period was lack of enough time to conduct the research work. The time allocated for the research to be done was limited, which forced the researching team to work extra hard in order to come up with the findings of the research. Interpretation: After the analysis was done, various findings were recorded as part of the research. One of the finding is that most of the arts workers such as arts that require performances charge higher rates for their performances, making it difficult for many audiences to attend such events. Therefore, it is important for the artists and theater hall owners to reduce costs charges during performances in order to attract many audiences during the events (Allen, 2012, pp45). Another finding of the research is that most of young generations only concentrate on the upcoming artistic work as compared to the older artistic, which is promoting our culture. Through this form of behavior, it leads to diminishing of our culture. Therefore, there is need for proper teaching on the importance of upholding our culture. During the research, it was also found that most of the artistic workers are not talented; instead, they are in the industry for money, therefore, they are not capable of providing better performance to their audience. This results to poor attendance of the audiences during such events. Consequently, it is advisable for the artists to take their work serious in order to come up with proper strategies of improving their works (Allen, 2012, pp45). Moreover, they should be able to come up with better and unique ideas that will attract many audiences. This will solve the problem of monopoly as experienced by many audiences because they feel such entertainments are all over the internet, which is readily available at cheaper prices. Conclusion and Recommendations: From the research, it was concluded that there are various areas that should be considered in order for arts work to be maintained within the communities. For instance, due to higher charges imposed on the audiences by the artist, there is need for this to be controlled. The control can be achieved through coming up with a committee that deals with the regulation of the prices for any arts work performed (Allen, 2012, pp45). In addition, there should be laws and regulations that prevent performers who do not perform as per the expectation of the audiences to be burnt from such performances. This would help in shaping the arts industry, which will help in improving the sector, as it will produce genuine performers who will be able to produce better workers as per the audiences’ expectations. Briefly, it is important for arts work to be take serious because it as a form of entertainment to the audiences and a way of earning a living to the artists. This is important because it provide some teachings that are important to all members of the organization, especially to the younger generation in upholding some of the cultural practices of the organization. In addition, it is recommendable for building of some public places where these forms of activities can be held in lower cost (Allen, 2012, pp45). This would encourage many audiences to attend many of the events as they are of lower rates as compared to the current scenario. The move will also help in encouraging people to attend many of the older arts works such as playing tag of war, which is important in bringing people from different places together. This togetherness help to shine some of the conflicts created through racism and discrimination, hence, creation of a happy society where members are their brother’s keepers. Therefore, due to many of the advantages of promoting arts work in the modern days, we should be able to encourage the talented persons in the field of arts in order for them to produce better works.
