AN EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE LINK BETWEEN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES BY [Name of the organization] [Author’s name] [Date of fulfilment] Introduction The main objective of this paper is to make a specific research to get the scope for the further study of "AN EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE LINK BETWEEN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION BARRIERS AND COPING STRATEGIES IN THE AUSTRALIAN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY" by R.A. Stewart, S. Mohamed and M. Marosszeky. The purpose of making this research I to make an extension to the study led by R.A. Stewart, S. Mohamed and M. Marosszeky. The Research objectives of this particular paper are to determine the main barriers of implementing IT in construction firms. Added to this the implementation has also been focused over the factors that are the best means for the coping strategies to address all these considered barriers. The idea and the efforts are applied to look at these barriers and coping strategies from the perspectives of IT department in construction firms and from the point of view as has been perceived by the Engineers and Architects. Methodology applied With the implementation of the necessary methodology there is also the application of concentrating on project level details. This is done because it is the core business unit of the construction industry. To see to what extent the barriers of project level can be addressed by the coping strategies, I have been determined in the research that has got the audience to ensure adequate technical support that has been provided to the project staff. There is also the provision made for the encouragement that is more active in the field of involving through IT staff at the project level. The implementation of all these are related to the ground that were supposed to be both practical and effective for overcoming the barriers in the project level. By means of the study I have discovered that the best applications for the implementing IT in project level. There is the follow up that get decided through the means of respondent’s recommendations and the ideas related to it. There are two methodologies to have a well determined and receive the expected outcome along with some of the well investigate periphery of making the research more dominant. There are many means that I am going to adopt. These are predominantly the qualitative and the quantitative methodologies. In qualitative approach I am following four basic proceedings. As stated by Bartlett, J. E., II, Kotrlik, J. W., & Higgins, C., (2001, pp.43-50) these are participation in the setting, direct observation, in depth interviews, and analysis of documents and materials. On the basis of these four functionalities, I have made a very well crafted attempt in order to get all the detailed information about the actual response that the Australians make towards the process of coping up with the barriers of construction industry. The general and the specific comments and ideas are all presented in the questionnaire and on the basis of theses findings I will proceed with my research. The adoption of qualitative methods is also a part of the presentation in other methodological approaches in aspects related to action research and all those comprehensiveness in the actor-network theory. In this paper this is the reason that my research was all around data collected along with text, comments, perspectives, suggestions and experiences, etc. I have practically faced several challenges that are all associated with setting the objectives of IT solution in terms of finding solution to the barriers related to the construction industry in Australia. ASSUMPTIONS On the basis of few market surveys and all kinds of analytical groundings it is obvious to make certain assessments in terms of the possibilities that might come in from this extended research work. The possibilities are that the IT has already made its influence in some of the peripheries and has got enough dominance. It may also be possible that there are firms who are not aware of these facilities and are still stuck with the old barriers. There are also instances that there are not very efficient people employed in the industry to follow this upgraded means. It can also be possible that the company has not adopted any new policies for recruitment of new IT engineers. To a great extent the ignorance is the main cause behind all these kinds of strategic planning. V. Baran, M. Colonna, M. Di Toro and A. B. Larionov, (1998) states that, itt is thus very important to have new branches of IT in every construction industry to meet the competition of the market and to sustain there for long term. implications For future proceedings I have gone through the research methods that bring in the futuristic approaches up-close for the new discoveries. The adopted research methods for the further work are all concerned with the order to achieve the research objective. There is also the need for the application of a proper research method that has been well followed in this paper. These particularized research methods will design some well structured and properly constructed system for the futuristic implementation. The proceedings consist of Individual interviews (done absolutely with one – on – one basis). The next proceeding is with Group interviews (that has got the implementation through focus group). The implementation of the data can be recorded by many ways. These are all collected from the daily means of recording systems. They include the proceedings headed by audio recording, video recording and all those communicative means for the application. My understanding is totally on the basis of implications dome with data collection that I adopted to have a wider range of variations in my analytical process. I have adopted different approaches for data collection. Being qualitative in structures there are some special means through which I have collected all the data for this analytical paper. The measures adopted by me are the grounded theory practice, narratology, classical ethnography and shadowing. As any kind of market research follow detailed fieldwork, laboratory, studio, classroom work along with all sorts of management of projects, informal discussions, progress reports etc., I too opted for the same. There is a specific analysis of recruitment and supervision of research methodology and process. The research is forwarded by means of conferences, seminars and society meetings that are directly connected with specific research projects. All the documents support production of research reports, papers and books. There is also a complete compulsory collaboration with other departments or institutions. The attempt is to outreach where research is the underlying activity that is those constructions industry in special condition that is far from the implication of IT. Benefits of analysis According to the strategic implementation of this methodological system the interviews will be done among professionals from 20 Australian construction firms. This is in itself a deal that will help me to collect all the necessary matter for my research work. The people who are a part of this research method are all related to the designation that comprises of Top managers of construction firms, Managers and staff of IT department in construction firms and the Engineers and architects. As I proceed with the interview, I keep a track of all the information that has been collected from these interviews. After designing and proceeding with the interviews questions through pilot testing, I made an attempt to ensure those appropriate questions that are being asked. In the proceeding with this methodology the attempt is for the right collection of data along with which the emphasis will be over the application of right data collection method. As I finish up with the process of collecting the data, the next step that I precede is with the process of analyzing all these data that are collected under strict methodological means. The process of analysis, as has been followed by me is comprised of 4 steps. These are respectively noted as follows --          1. Organize the data            2. Shape the data into information          3. Interpret and summaries the information            4. Explain the information. Added to all these analytical means, I also prefer to go for the application of computer software that can be used to transcribe and content analysis. The benefits are all very straight. It will enlighten most of the business sector firms about these proceedings and the facilities of IT and there will be at least some contributions made towards its utilities. With this extensive inspection there are the possibilities of encouraging the use of IT in these construction firms to get rid of the persisting barriers. With the help of IT the quality assessments can be well achieved along with the factor of spending less time in it. There are other benefits that support of this research. These are benefits related to social and economic sectors that are made easy to communicate with through IT. V. Baran, M. Colonna, M. Di Toro and V. Greco, (2001) declares that relatively low level of IT awareness and very less exposure to IT are the basic hindrances in this field. Conclusion The result as has been derived through this proceeding has got some major conventional applications. These are Qualitative information. The application of this information will certainly provide detailed information about the research objectives. The most prolific of all is related to the act of determining the main barriers and coping strategies and provide a clear vision about these barriers and coping strategies from different perspectives. Further the usability will come in with the provision of the best applications of implementing IT in the project level. It is here that we can receive with the clear vision about the barriers and the coping strategies in the project level. References Bartlett, J. E., II, Kotrlik, J.
