Social injustice; racial discrimination Social injustice concerns unclaimed unfairness or injustices witnessed in a society that tends to reward one party and oppresses the other. it is often based on one’s perceptive on humanity on the incidental inequalities. It is a relative model that requires a definition of the variables that lead to social injustices. Ideally, in other societies, social injustices concern the distribution of privileges and demerits that are not shared equally (Donnellan, 2006). Social injustice is vice in the society as it interferes with the development and smooth coexistence among people. The essay will discuss the social injustice that originates from the wealth distribution relative to racism. The magnitude of racial discrimination has created challenges in unifying different races. It is upon the society and policymakers to ensure untied society for the betterment of social justice. Racisms have been a challenging concept to handle. This follows the vast majority becoming superior and the minority group feels they are being oppressed given the distribution of resources that does not follow equality. We live in a society that is sensitive to issues that directly affects people live. It is paramount that proper mechanisms are used in addressing the challenges as it disintegrates a community which would lead to adverse challenges. I experienced a case concerning racism. At the place where I work as an intern, an incident erupted were an African American felt he was treated unfairly among the employees of the organization. The claim was related to the tasks and amount of pay. The African American employee received less pay per hour while his counterparts received a higher amount. This was seen as social injustice given the guideline by the constitution on the equal pay for equal work. The essence of racism was rife since he was the only African American employee and one would assumption he was paid less because of being a “person of color” (Hoggard & Sellers, 2013). This affected the society we worked as we had a different perspective about the employer. It was contravening the vision and mission of the firm which championed for fair treatment for all. Additionally, clients of the company come from a diverse racial background and made no sense in discriminating a team player because of being different. The prevalence of social injustice influence and clouds our judgment. This is because of the attachment of emotions that were historically staged, For example, in the past different races fought against each other to control major resource. Those who were the majority tend to win and oppress the minority. However, the enactment of the law on the right to work anywhere without discrimination was help in countering racial cases (Bufacchi, 2012). Racisms affect our homes. The penetration of hate and animosity brews conflicts. For example, if a family had intermarried. Mistrust would emerge as one of the partners would feel the other race is oppressing them and should do something to avenge. This would be a recipe for breaking a united home just because of too much attachment to one's race. It is paramount to consider the consequences. Frequently, majority of western countries face cases of mass shooting in schools or places of worship. This is often fueled by hate because of racial differences as one race feels they need to have a fair share of the resources or feel they are being bullied. It is the mandate of any state to ensure all citizens receive fair treatment lest conflicts erupt. Additionally, social injustice requires proper attention that will help curb it before violence erupts. Political willingness will create an avenue of engaging the public on their rights and the process of having their issues addressed without creating chaos. The significance of unity in society is generated from the way their concerns are handled (Bufacchi, 2012). Equally, the antisocial treatments indicate the prejudices that are manifested through racial discrimination derail the socialization process. Social injustice informs of racial discrimination is caused by lack of proper channels to address a given challenge in the society. In order to have certain issues addressed, for example, unequal employment among the blacks, the groups opt to use racial discrimination as the genesis of their plight Bufacchi, 2012. It is everyone’s hope that proper coordination and distribution of resources are done in accordance with the law and observing fairness. However, unprofessional and racial leaders champion for their interests before obliging by the required standards in job employment among other burning issues that ignite racism incidences. Racial discrimination has diverse consequences in the community. Firstly, there will be no peace. Communities will use violence and conflict to express their grievances. Over the past, such incidences have turned ugly as property and losses of life have been witnessed. People let emotions overcome them hence turn to be ‘inhumane and resort to creating humanity crisis’. The community is disintegrated because of racial hate (Donnellan, 2006). Similarly, racial conflict may occur because of expressions made by others. If a given majority race uses a language that tends s to degrade the other minority race or vice verse, violence may occur. In the modern era, people have learned to exercise restraint while others opt to create a scene by causing harm or responding harshly using strong language. “A political inquiry is required in addressing racial inequalities”, it is expected that policymakers can generate a better law that governs all races and ensure there is inclusivity (Dorling, 2015). This way, cases of violence because of racial discrimination would be a thing of the pats. Political willingness will lead to political stability that will help in ensuring a society or a community sorts their differences and lives in harmony. This can be explained better using power relation. Power relations tend to impact on social issues. The diverse social issues like religion, gender, and sexual orientation among others are sensitive topics that require a collaborative understanding of the society. The signs of racisms are rife in most communities. Additionally, the rich are the society influences the courts to have their kin’s released and certain ethnic group receive unfair judgment (Solomos & Back, 1996). Racial discrimination creates an inferiority complex in society. The prevalence of inferiority is seen through the aggressive behavior exhibited by the different racial groups. The case of discrimination makes victims have low self-esteem and each result into unequal distribution of opportunities. It is to this effect that communities try to retaliate by fighting for their rights only to receive arrest orders or are even executed. According to US Bureaus of Census, African Americans despite accessing education have a low level of income. This is because of the high level of discrimination in the USA. The inferiority complex concept also blocks the interaction between the whites and the African American hence ideas are barely shared. Implementing anti racisms thought would help in ending racisms. Ideally, the promotion of peace is based on addressing the challenge the society faces. It is to this effect that ending discrimination begins by addressing the social injustices and promoting equal rights. People will be able to live peacefully give their rights are respected and can interact freely with different races without any form of conflict (Solomos & Back, 1996). Racial bias tends to also affect the health of a society. Racial discrimination disfavors societies that do not come from a superior racial group. Mechanisms are often put to ensure such a society do not receive the best medical care or slow responses in medical emergencies. The health state indicates how minority racial group have a high rate of deaths because of racial discrimination. The process creates stigma among the community as they feel inferior and are restricted from enjoying mobility and other socioeconomic opportunism. Segregation is done to indicate the inferior racial group by the majority race that often is in control of the vital resources. People see racial discrimination as a norm and “it is just how it is” (Dorling, 2015). Conclusively, from the analysis conducted. It is evident that racial discrimination is the root cause of society being disintegrated. The racial discrimination is a vice in the society and requires efforts from all the races to ensure there are equality and justice. It is fair to observe the laws that guide on the distribution of resources without creating conflicts. The arguments also indicate the drawbacks of racial discrimination in our home or communities. Promoting equal right is the key towards unifying the society to be able to work towards a common goal. References Bufacchi, V. (2012).
