The paper “The Psychological Effects of a Student's Failing a College Class and Importance of Psychological Support of Elders" is a dramatic example of an essay on social science. Failure within any college class can mean a lot of problems for the individual under consideration as he has to go through a bad time. In terms of the mental breakdown, this person faces trouble at the hands of the society because he has to face differential and diverse settings which mean that his composure cannot be maintained for a long period of time.

What is even more significant is the manner under which his failure could suggest that his colleagues would move on to the next class while he himself would remain within the same class. This is something that makes him feel horrible since his colleagues would then onwards be seen as seniors. In essence, failure within a college class could mean that the psychological effects are aplenty and the mental breakdown all the more understandable. The individual has to face the questions that the society poses on him which essentially makes him feel awry.

He realizes that he has made a great mistake within his life and for this reason, his colleagues are not talking to him on the same level that they used to in the past. It has made him fall flat on the face of the educational realms, so much so that he cannot face the society any further. The role of the elders within such a concern is that they must take care of the children so that they do not feel troubled with the failure regimes which have crept up for all the wrong reasons (Supriya, 2011).

The elders must dictate the basis of sanctity within the young ones, and tell them where they are going wrong, and what corrective measures need to be taken on their part in the coming days. It is with the persistent efforts and convincing of these elders that the young ones are corrected regarding their respective realms. It makes them feel significant within the college again and puts the children in the safe custody of their parents from a mental perspective. The psychological effects, therefore, need to be minimized with a sense of optimism that the elders and the guardians must dictate with the passage of time.

This is an important manifestation of growth and development for the child as far as his educational patterns are concerned. What is a fact here is the ideology that failure within a college class can have drastic effects and consequences on the individual, and therefore it is a good idea to have proper institutional measures to make sure that the child does not stray when he fails a certain college class. He must be shown the way and with that, the corrective steps need to be taken to bring about harmony and a sense of ease, which remains so very vital in this day and age.

Hence this individual must know to falter in the course of tension that he has whilst failing a college class and should get motivated from the fact that he has learned a lesson which will be invaluable for his domains in the times to come.
