In the same manner, several ethnic institutions have resurfaced so as to ensure that development may be achieved notwithstanding the presence of different problems brought about by ethnicity. This paper shall then look into the operations of the Aga Khan Development Network in Mombasa, Kenya and how the same were successful in bringing about development in the area. It is without question that ethnic conflicts and religious divisions are common on all continents (Azam, 2001).
