Terrorism Attack in southern Beirut A double suicide bombing tragedy occurred in southern Beirut on Thursday evening as people were leaving from jobs. The report covers the front page of the New York Times newspaper the next morning. The information from health ministry shows that 43 people were pronounced dead with about 200 wounded. The paper records the incident as the worst attack ever in the city. The Islamic state bordering Syria claimed the responsibility immediately after the attack. The group recorded that their primary target was Shiite Muslims whom they consider traitors (Levitt 67). The Garissa attack was claimed by the Somali Muslims, who forced the students to narrate their beliefs. They also targeted Hezbollah, the Shiite militant whom they believe to be helping the Syrian government in the civil war they are going through. The attackers also bombed the Bourj al-Barajneh neighborhood of the southern Beirut, a place occupied by mostly the Palestinian refugee camp full of Syrians. The Muslim communities are out to attack Christians, and they believe that Christians are their number one enemy. Whenever a terror attack occurs, they claim responsibility and are happy about it. They refer to the fellow Muslims, who refuse to support their act as traitors and they purpose to kill them (Levitt 67). Of all the attack that are recorded, the Garissa killing of students, the Beirut killing and the Paris killing, the Muslim groups claims responsibility. They usually give warning before the attack but the governments have been so reluctant until the make it real. Most of the civil wars in Syria and Iran are just based on the Muslim belief. There are lots of advert taking the advantage of the situation, CCTV and car tracker are on the advert. The newspaper shows pictures of destroyed properties, and men and women are stranded about their business. It had not taken long since the ISIS claimed an attack of civilian during the Syrian war. The paper shows the emotional pictures of Muslim mourners who have lost their relatives in the attack. From the photos, it is clear to note that the incident left people in shock as it was never expected. The crime scene was protected with anti-terror officials some of whom were defeated on what to do. The news records a mixed reaction as some people feel that the incident that has just occurred for the first time is given much attention as compared to other attacks in other places (Levitt 67). The news shows that the government had already had the information about the attack. They had even announced the arrest of two suspects from Lebanon and Syria (Levitt 67). There were many complaints from the public claiming government negligence. The claimed the government could not even protect the people and even failed to collect trash from the street. The Garissa attack had been planned, and the government of Kenya was aware but took no action until 147 lives were lost from the Muslim attack. News reports an incident of attack on Friday night November the year 2015 in Paris, an incident that was caused by three suicide bombers from the Islamic states. The attack claimed 129 lives with 352 people wounded and some at critical conditions. In the Paris attack, it was regarded as the war started by the terrorist on France. The terror assault began at 9:20 p.m. on Friday outside the soccer stadium when France was playing against Germany. The terrorists had suicide vests and guns that they used to shoot 89 people who were listening to a rock band. The news was received with much of sorrow from the whole world. Leaders from around the world sent their condolence message to those to the affected families. This was the first attack in France by terrorist leaving people with great shock (Levitt 67). All the attacker were young peoples who were below 30 years, and they all had criminal records. The nation remained a national state of emergency as the security troop carries out investigations. French government retaliated on the attack by attacking the Islamic state in Syria. This was after the ISIS claimed all the attack in the central city of France. The French government uses authoritative language to show their retaliation force on the Syria. The news about the attack takes the front page of the newspapers and articles all over the country. It shows how serious the incident was to the general public. There are pictures of people dressed in overall white clothes, carrying body bag stained with blood (Levitt 67). The reaction in the photos shows how quick response mad by the security to save the situation as compared to the Garissa incident where the police arrived after 11 hours on the scene. It traumatizes to look at the photos of bodies lying down in the public. The statement from the president assures the people of the security alert that has been put in place. The CNN media shows a variety of photos that shows the real picture of the incident in Paris. There are different coverage shows inconsistencies by the news reporters as some give conflicting information on the number of deaths and casualty recorded (Levitt 67). Some media groups victimize the government of sitting on the information until now the attack is real. With the pressure to give news to the public immediately after an attack, the news reporters resort to giving any without caring for its source. CNN reports 130 people dead while the NY shows 129 as the number the dead. Terrorists are never easy to fight with since they hide and attack. They never come out openly to fight their enemy. They believe in direct entry into heaven whenever on dies with many people, something that Christians never believe on. This conflict is never easy to resolve, without government involvement (Levitt 67). Out of their belief, they are never ready to hold a dialog to solve the issue. The American president strongly supports French attack on the ISIS group. President Obama condemns the act of terror as the greatest enemy of development and humanity that should never be allowed at all cost. He promises support to the French as they wage war against Syria following the November attack. Whenever terrorists attack big countries, much attention is given contrary to what happens when small countries are attacked (Levitt 67). When the terrorists attacked Garissa University in Kenya, there was no international community support or any nation which promised to give support. When Paris city was attacked, it calls for everyone in the world to take a day of rest mourning. In summary, the news lines give information that might sometimes disagree due to insufficient access to the source. Conflicting information might lead to a poor or wrong judgment by the readers or the viewers. It was never easy to gather information on terror attack as it requires the use of intelligent forces (Levitt 67). The difference in the content of the articles shows the level concern is given to the issue and some resources the media has. Reference Levitt, Matthew.
