I would not write the program because it infringes on other people’s right to privacy and may even amount to stalking. This is because some of these software record all the details of what the students do on the computers, they monitor their chats, instant messages, emails, the websites they visit and what they search for, their social media networks and pictures posted and much more. They also provide screenshot features to see what the students do on a step-by-step basis. This is a major violation of the right to privacy as provided for in the constitution (Reich and Eduardo 240).

The merit of this opinion lies whereby most parents also have guards in their computers that inhibit or lockout their teenage children from various sites. This is then enforced by the Superintendent in the schools. There are laws in place to help monitor students’ social media interactions and focus on gang-related activities, threats of violence and may include surveillance of non-violent student activity like alcohol and drug consumption. The software installed on the computers can also be used to track stolen or lost laptops hence aiding in their retrieval. The merit of this counter-opinion lies with the force of the law and the necessity to keep the students and their property safe.

Similar examples
Similar situations I have encountered include an online company accessing the personal information of social media users and calling the users with the intention to defraud them. This is a violation of privacy laws at the same time a criminal activity. The companies will track the internet usage of the customers, determine their buying habits and movements and collect personal information without consent from the users. This is a breach of business ethics and the companies must determine ethical behaviors and put in place guidelines and policies to deter this kind of behavior.

Personal moral exhibits and good ethics
I would say I exhibit good ethics because I possess the ability to distinguish between right and wrong and in most situations choose to do the correct thing, I also have an inner sense of morality when in different high-pressure situations that guide me in making moral decisions. Furthermore, I highly regard the family and societal values that have been incorporated in me throughout the course of life that guide my behavior and attitudes towards others. My ethics do not need the use of force and other rules or regulations as a guiding factor.

Application
This applies to my field of study in that it helps appreciate the rights of others and also aids in the practical applicability of ethics and professionalism when specializing. It helps me appreciate other professions and give credit to others when using their work to enhance originality and creativity. Good ethics will guide me when using online sources and social networks in a mature way to avoid harassing other users on the internet. It will help in my protection of privacy rights as well as those of others online.
