Latin America Question The Central American minors in the recent past have resorted to seeking refuge in America. America is one of the most democratic states to live in as per its worldview as the father of modern democracy. This is because most of the Central American states are war-torn. Human rights abuse, on the other hand, in the Central American nation-states is currently at its peak. All these cases of instability directly affect minors who need basic needs in life. A massive minor immigration into the U.S. by thousands of Central American minors in the recent years has shot up. This is primarily focused on seeking refuge and overall fight for these minors’ rights and freedoms. Democracy per se lacks in most of Central American nations states. The immigration “crisis” in the U.S. is due to favourable immigration policies that were adopted by the government (Washington 111). In the United States, human dignity is aptly upheld. Both the minor and adult immigrants are equally represented in the constitution. An equal representation of people in the U.S. is the key reason as to why the thousands of Central American minors are fleeing into this country. The surge of minor Central American refugees has significantly increased. In fact, it has doubled in volume every year. As many of minor refugees have no parents or legal guardians available to provide them with physical care or custody, they resolve to migrate. The U.S. government considerately due to minor immigration adopted favourable caretaking policy for these immigrants (Soerens & Jenny 101). These provisions have even worsened the situation more thus resulting into refugees “crisis” in America. The local border patrols in the coming years will be in for a rude shock. This is due to extra-ordinary immigration into the U.S. There would therefore definitely be an “outburst” immigrant’s population in the U.S refugees’ camps. Question #2 The views of the major partners on the issue of immigration “crisis” have over a long period been same and contradictory. This is because American society is both a multicultural and multi-lingual one. The incoming Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), for example perceives this issue as an entanglement of the U.S. expenditure. Immigration debate in the Senate emerged to be a major reason for the entanglement of the U.S. spending bill (Washington 146). The executive order by president Obama on immigration even worsens the situation. According to Mitch, this was an extra-ordinary execution of power by the president. This move accordingly aimed at pulling down the U.S. economically. Mitch therefore considers immigration issue as an irrelevant one in the U.S. government. The senate overly is trying to move forward with a weeping funding of immigration bills. The Congressman Raul Grijalva’s view of this issue also concurs with Mitch’s. Raul believes that the executive actions made by President Barack Obama regarding immigration are a self-centred one. This bill would be one of his contingency decisions as a leader (Diew 122). The Representative Raul Grijalva’s (D-AZ) views immigration catastrophe as a better opportunity for the president to find a long lasting solution to Central American states. Immigration reforms would be aimed at reducing the looming future immigration crisis people into the U.S. Question #3 The responsibility of the refugee fleeing Central America is to blame on the poor governance of these countries. The United States nonetheless has never relented on fighting for good governance and human rights protection in Central America. In conjunction with United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), the U.S. government has resolved to help subdue violence in these countries (Diew 189). This act is often against the laws governing sovereignty powers of states. The U.S though, is left with no option, but to infringe on Central American countries. This it does with an aim of fighting for her immigrants’ freedoms and rights. Economic assistances, the U.S. government immigrants have also provided aids, donations and free foodstuffs (O’Leary 159). Even though economic assistance to the Central American States may not provide a long lasting solution to the immigrants, it acts as a milestone towards the achievement of democracy. The immigrant children nonetheless are not seeking economic benefits. They majorly flee because the increased violence and instability in their mother countries. Violence in many countries escalates human rights abuse to such an extent that requires international community interventions. Lastly, in extreme cases, the U.S. government has issued ultimatum notices to some of the unstable States. This would mean that if these countries persists abuse of human rights, the U.S would definitely take power from them indefinitely (Soerens & Jenny 189). This threat mission by the U.S government on Central American states to some extent has restored peace and stability. Question #4 Lastly, a comprehensive immigration reform no matter how strongly its policies are presented would never fix or save immigration situation. Firstly, the formation of the United Nations was to prevent the outbreak of any other war after world war two. The United Nations still failed to curb the outbreak of cold war. A comprehensive immigration reform would not mitigate immigration problem. Immigration issues in time immemorial have been witnessed in the world history. This is because the world states will always be at loggerheads due to ideological differences (Washington 144). In conclusion, currently the world’s states are dealing with various controversial immigration issues. These issues are insolvent putting into consideration the humanity aspect of immigration. The U.S for example the big question of how to treat 12 million illegal immigrants in the country. The reality is most people are desperately looking forward to achieving a solution to this issue. However, on the other hand, this solution is unachievable especially when looking into the failure of immigration reforms implementations. Obama for example as one of the most influential individuals in the world supports immigration. This is because in order to achieve and strengthen inter-border security, immigrants must be tolerated.
