The nightmare One of the worst but grateful nights of my life occurred that truly changed my mind. It was a memorable night that I will never forget in my whole life. The night was beautiful as I was driving around with my friends in the desert in the ATV. We were really just enjoying the night, blasting music, and socializing with the friends. The night was young and we wanted to enjoy the night. Suddenly, a sandstorm, stuck us. We thought we were going on a wrong direction when the sandstorm abated he continued—but he was going in the wrong direction. There was a shade during the night as the heat continued to hit us hard. For the next three hours, we tried to fix the ATV, while finding some hospitality nearby. Suddenly, as we were driving the ATV broke down as it the bump. No one knew what events were going to happen next. One of my friends was diabetic so we knew that we did not have much time. My friend tried to fix the ATV with many futile attempts. To make matters worse, couldn’t walk, and instead had to shuffle around from a seated position. In order to gain some relief from the heat, we decided to spray themselves with their truck’ fire extinguishers. Thankfully, we got relief for a few seconds, then developed extremely painful open wounds across their skin from the blasts. The next day people started dying. He couldn’t get a phone signal before his battery died, and he fell over when he tried to leave his car. He decided to stick with the vehicle, as it would be easier for rescuers to spot. It didn’t take long for him to become thirsty, so he went for the only available liquid—his car’s windshield fluid. However, knowing that he was diabetic we knew we had no other choice. His lack of insulin was really a problem because we could not afford to lose him. The ATV exploded as my friends watched in vain.  Suddenly, we saw a bunch of men emerging from a view. We began to throw our hands in frenzy asking for attention. It was a very bad decision for many reasons because the men were pirates, kidnapping and stealing things to make money. They tied us up and took to their own cave and demanded us to call our parents to ask for ransom. With type 2 diabetes, we begged our friend to receive some treatment. However, they abductors were pretty much heartless and did not even give us some food/water. With our hands tied down, we tried to get out but it was not working. Our hope was completely dissolved as we thought our fate was sealed. We tried t signaling with his foil blanket, and lit fires at night with flares. No one came as our hopes once again vanished The abductors decided to move us to another place. He found an old Muslim shrine, which was home to a number of small bats. The worst part was the fact it was filled with bats, which added more to our misery. We began writing our wills and asking a letter for our release in any manner possible. Suddenly, we heard a task force storm in There was a county’s sheriff had recently heard a report about abductors. He knew that they may pick an old location where no one really is. Thankfully, he arranged for a helicopter to fly its length and back again, but without much hope—he described the area as “some of the most unforgiving terrain you will find anywhere on Earth.” The constant stress that was enforced to authorities to convict these two fellows was pivotal as “dream confessions” were utilized to arrest these two individuals. In essence, the manipulation tactics that were utilized by the police had traumatic effects for the long-term. From this night, I learned many valuable lessons. First and foremost, I learned never to give up hope. Hope and faith play a pivotal role in our lives. We can never give up hope because it allows us to rely on something. Additionally, it taught me to never give up regardless of the situation. It also changed me for the greater good because I was really grateful in my life. Change, is a scary word that daunts everyone, yet is experienced by all human beings. It is scary but at times essential for the growth of human being. Life is so full of obstacles, struggles, and enigmas that sometimes it forces an individual to completely change their perceptions of life. Although not all change is good, it is sometimes essential because it makes a person really ponder about themselves. It serves as a critique and lets one reflect whether the change is good or bad. Learning from mistakes and experiences can be a huge blessing in disguise. Sometimes it is better to get hurt in a traumatic manner to make you realize about your true potential. It also serves us a remind that never to pursue things that are not in our fate. However the true question remains, how do we know whats written? What should we pursue without knowing the end result? The uncertainty of any risk and decision is truly the essence of what defines us. In some cases of reflection, one admits that even if we were to go back in past, we will commit the same errors. Why? Simply because it is vital for our growth and gives us a better understanding of life. Instead of fighting this, we should truly embrace this moment of inner conflict as we should never change themselves because of someone else. Change is at times essential for growth and understanding the true meaning of life. It is a manifestation of the time that we have spent in order to be something that is meant to leave a legacy in life. Do not live the life that others dictate, rather live the life that you were meant to fulfill as a person. In the end, you control your own destiny. I learned this valuable lesson many times through this night, that time of our lives is so valuable. Conventional wisdom tells us that "time is money." Undoubtedly, that has become the focal point in our lives. We strive to create dimensions of time as we consistently strive to achieve so many milestones in a particular period. It is truly astonishing to see the behavior of humans as we desire more time. The reality of the matter is that time will always be present in our lives but we must manage it wisely. We will always be engaged so grossly that we will deprive ourselves of lifes most "simplest moments." Whether that is just sitting down and taking a deep breath or watching the sunrise, these precious moments create a surreal experience that will become a part of us within. As we are masters of our destinies, create time to spend with a loved one or indulge yourself in a hobby that you enjoy. Work is part of life but it should not define our lives. We as a whole are unique individuals should be able to enjoy life. Life is an expression of individuality and therefore should be embraced from every angle. Capture your sacred moments and cherish them fully because these moments define you. As universal this theme maybe, time was also created to give us some sense of relaxation that has been extinct in our lives. Read More
