Preventing another 9/11 on American Soil If you were President of the United s, What steps would you take to prevent another September 11th from happening on American Soil? If I were the President of the United States of America then I would first discontinue the America’s ‘War on Terror’ in order to prevent another September 11th attack on the country. This is primarily because the war on terror has only consumed USA’s financial, military and national resources without any beneficial returns both in terms of economic progress and social security.

On the other hand the terrorist activities are accelerating all over the world including Switzerland, UK and the Eastern Countries. Hence it is evident that if war on terror continues then America would certainly witness another attack similar to 9/11. Furthermore, to prevent attacks on American soil it is highly significant for the US government to stop attacking other nations while decreasing its number of enemies. In the post 9/11 era USA has already changed its priorities, structure and corporate laws (Pistole).

But it is now extensively required to implement laws regarding the racial discrimination. This will help in avoiding local crime and hatred among people which eventually leads to national and international terrorism. The terrorist activities should be countered in a way that is in accordance with the human rights because it is completely inhumane to kill thousands of innocent people on an assumption that they will be future terrorists. It is also important to conduct proper investigation prior to initiate war against any nation.

Additionally, significant measures should be taken to strengthen cyber security to counter the terrorist threats arising from the social media network and the internet world. Work CitedPistole, John. The Post 9/11 FBI: Working Worldwide to Prevent Terrorist Attacks. The FederalBureau of Investigation. 2006. Web. 28 Aug 2014.
