Extract of sample "Plagiarism is a Vice"

In any event, plagiarism is a crime in most conventional instances. In most cases, plagiarism is evidenced in the writing of essays and treatises. When citing the sources used in the work, careful measures should always be taken to ensure that unintentional plagiarism is totally avoided. When one provides a list of references without accompanying in-text citations, it implies that they have not acknowledged the use of other people’s knowledge. Several instances normally emerge when students paraphrase other people’s ideas and think they are safe.

That is simply plagiarism but with a hidden motive. It is therefore imperative to acknowledge the use of other people’s works through proper in-text citations using the appropriate referencing styles. In most cases, students will feel that in-text citation are unnecessary requirements by their tutors and will, therefore, refer to their own words as borrowed from other sources and cite them. This is a serious vice called fabrication, which mostly affects researchers in hurry to accomplish assignments.

The quality of work from such people is always very low and may not conform to the requirements of conventional standards. It, therefore, demands that each learner and writer carefully understands the concept of plagiarism so as to limit it as much as possible.
