1. The readings and discussions so far have developed a general view of God from a Christian perspective. Discuss, using materials, how this view of God can be used to help understand how or why Christians would see the environment as important to preserve. Christian salvation is achieved by believing in concept of Trinity and confessing that Jesus is God. Believing in Christianity in the first and foremost fundamental belief of Trinity. It is a sin that humanity has and will continue to disobey Gods commands that will deny it all hope to salvation. Christians believe that human life is marked by suffering, illness, death and violence. Salvation must be achieved as a channel to lead to an afterlife that is filed with peace and prosperity.  A Christian must belief that Jesus is Gods son and died in the Cross for humanity. It is clear that Christianity’s creed revolves around the sacrifice is an element that must be affirmed by Christians because God sacrificed his own son for his creation. One achieves salvation is achieved by professing the sins to Jesus and accepting Him as the ultimate savior. The problem is the fact that Jesuss atonement of sins must be embraced by mankind that his sacrifice was the ultimate testament to save mankind.  It was evident that in the beginning of the Bible record God spoke directly with some people through the angels. According to many scholars, there has been no record that propagated for the command the establishment of a priesthood until after the descendants of Jacob were delivered from slavery. The idea of salvation and believing in the sacrifice of Jesus makes the religion very distinct. 2. In times of despair, individuals that were seeking the truth became the felons. As a matter of fact, many true Christians were persecuted because they stood out for the truth. The few and pure that stood against the Church or clergy were at once banished or killed because they were dangerous to the elite. The few those rose up against this notion were persecuted. 3. Violence is a key problem for our current society. Choose one example of violence, describe it and relate this issue to some aspect of a religious perspective. Violence is a huge issue in religion and society because it incites human emotion. In today’s society school violence has caught the attention of nearly everyone in the United States. With the recent shootings at schools across the country, people have become increasingly concerned about the well-being of their school age children while they attend school. In the eyes of society, school is supposed to be a safe place for children to learn and grow not a place of violence and fear. There are over there 200 school related crimes for every 1,000 students (age 12 to 18) that has happened all across the United States; about 15 percent of students aged 12 through 18 reported violence. Violence occurs because people have twisted the definition of it from a religion aspect for their own self-pursuit goals. Additionally, many individuals take quotes out of context to justify their needs. The problem with violence and religion is the fact that leads to unnecessary chaos without examining the circumstances. Since some individuals feel very strongly about their religion, they fail to recognize assimilation and diversity. This yields to violence, which has no room in 21st century. One example of violence are terrorist attacks in the name of God by Christian extremists that continue to plague society. 4. Engaging in conversation with people of different cultures is part of our everyday experience in 21st century America. Show how a couple of different ways Christians have developed for thinking about those who are different can lead to strikingly different kinds of treatment of different people. Christians have become more humanitarians and have accepted that assimilation is clear and diversity should be embraced. Organizations such as red-cross help humans throughout the world regardless of their religion affiliation. One thing is to understand that culture plays a huge role in religion. Many humans are taught to ‘follow’ instead of rationally thinking, which poses a problem. Christians because it entails them to be more pro-active in their society rather than just preaching the bible. Post-colonial world means a mesh of diversity that Christians must face a very modern western world where biblical views are defoliated. Moreover, much of the focus and practice has been complicit in oppression. It is evident that Christian thought focuses on Jesus and his sacrificial redemptive act on behalf of all of humankind. This is the thesis that all Christians must preach. Christians must deal with newer issues such as same sex marriage, abortion, and domestic violence that plague the Church. The assimilation of new Christians from Africa, India, and other parts of the country is important to tackle as well. These issues are because of a modern world in which religion must address these issues. From a Christian’s perspective, it is clear to rationally understand the logic behind these scenarios and develop cognitive understanding to ensure that Christianity does not diminish.
