Lecturer: Topic: Introduction When I started the with a little knowledge of Christianity, all the great things in this Religion impressed me. I will defiantly use some of the lessons that I acquired lessons from the materials read this semester. I have read all the given material for this course and I enjoyed reading it, especially the fact that it has a different aspect and most of the time it touches the heart. With all this, I feel like I am not doing anything for God who created us and who gave us all the mercy and the environment that we are living in. I cannot be appreciative enough for everything God has freely accorded to human kind. However, despite all this, conflicts still makes the most part of the news today; the media is talking about violence from all corners of the world. Connection between religion and war It is devastating how Christianity is least influential on the struggles for peace and against violence in the USA. They have let the leaders whose lips are fast to talk about war and how the citizens should protect themselves dominate the arena. Christian religion has its focus and attention on understanding the past events, how they affect our society instead of the earlier and current occurrences in the society (Moore 23). Christian believers should be quite hiding in the past and focus on the current and fulfill its obligation in terminating the global violence. The USA should be first in peace negotiation and ending violence. Women effectiveness in our societies and how their rights are taken in some countries and the beauty of Christianity of treating women In every social setting, a woman is equally important like the man because she performs the basic task in the family like ensuring adequate water for use in the family, looking after the sick, tending the gardens and other duties. The woman is the building blocks of any society and I belief without her, we would have a chaotic society where peace is no existence, malnourished children, and men, and many features that are more unexciting, (Rosemary 12). Despite the good things a woman can do, many cultures do not regard her and mostly assume her efforts and duties, for instance, she is considered the poorest in the family for money she gets is utilized for the well being of the society while the man uses his to buy luxuries like a radio. Religion puts the woman a compromising position in that she is required to be submissive to the man, support him and in some religions, he must not be adulterous but a man can. Many NGO have however been establish and are working towards promoting the rights of the woman in the society and above anything the appreciation she deserves for the roles she plays. How religions refuse Terrorist attack or acts Since its inception after the Second World War, America has always had the objective of fighting for justice and in this case, it has always been the fight against a perceived enemy, therefore, they have establish neo-colonial states to strengthen their powers. America’s war lately is on terrorism and terrorists acts perpetuated by the Middle East community. Researches date this war back to earlier negatives experiences with the communities in the Middle East who constantly struggles to avenge for the attacks done to them. Christian faith has always objected the war but has been unable to create any form of impact against it. Various terrorists are perceived to be of the Islamic religion and the America nationals are considered Christians (Moore 23). Putting these facts together would mean that it is a war between Christians and Muslim. In comparison of the two religions, the Christians are for peace and war /killing is a crime that should not be entertained. The Muslim on the other hand takes this attacks as holy war for which Allah will offer a reward. I believe that a religion should seek to promote peaceful coexistence between members of the society and not the otherwise. Racism, its affects on the societies, and how religion connects people from all races Racism is any form of act in favor of people of the same race; a common phenomenon in America the colonial era. The African Americans have always been perceived as the lesser members of the society, they live to serves the upper social class in the society that is the whites. Society and many other religions have always been against racism. There doctrines argue that all the races are a creation of God and should be treated equally; no one is special or better than the other in the eyes of the Lord. This argument has positively influenced perception in the USA. Unlike in the past, the American Africans can now freely interact with the white friends in restaurants, churches, public service vehicles among other areas they were forbidden in the past. However, I cannot argue that racism is something of the past for it is still experienced in some communities but minimal cases. We can positively say that religion has played its part in elimination of racism in the USA. Israel shoah, and how God gave then better life Finally, I would like to analyze the Shaoh-Israel and show how God gave better life to his followers. Israelites made a vow not to have a repeat of the same after six million people died in the Shaoh incidence. A new unique page was opened in the Israelites history, a Jewish status restored, and an interlinking of secular courage as well as a religious faith became a feature in the new Jews state. In the midst of the chaos, the Israelites were able to rebuild the Israel nation through their strong faith and hope, (Rosemary 10). Trough this they were able to make peace with their past and work together towards a new nation full of hope, peace and were guided by faith.
