The spiritual leader exerts much influence on the religious faithful, and may have had some influence on the Tibetan government. In truth, Tibet has served as the centre for spiritual and artistic reflection to most parts of Asia. Sadly, this has been changing as China has been forcefully trying to impose their rule and cultural ideologies on the people of Tibet. It is this that has seen the possible rise in conflict in that region. Presently, the Dalai Lama is considered the leader of the exiled government, or in other terms, the Central Tibetan Administration.
The sophisticated heritage, spiritual, and traditional ideology held by the Tibetans has spread beyond their geographical scope as a result of this exile. After the passing of the Dalai Lama, it is crucial for their most trusted disciples to find the reincarnated master. The process may take a number of years, and the search was limited to Tibet and some of its environs. Upon some guidance from different sources believed to have spiritual power, the disciple travels to the chosen place for the reincarnated master among children who are between the ages of one and one and a half.
The spiritual and geographical connection in the lives of the Tibetan people is the link between the dead master and the reincarnated one as the disciples traverse the Tibet Republic searching for the would-be Dalai Lama that would guide people on their spiritual journey. Upon finding the child, it is crucial to prove that he might be indeed the reincarnated master. Some of the things that might assist in determining this include the placing of things that belonged to the previous master, hoping that the child might recognise them.
The finding of the current Dalai Lama involved him identifying his private Ashram, which might have been used for different purposes, according to the most trusted disciple. . The place where to find the supposed reincarnated master is often identified with first letters. Also, the initials of the father’s name may be relayed to the disciple, which ultimately reduces the scope of the search (Laird 103). It is these small issues that may lead to the determining of the reincarnated master. Tibetans, just like with any other people, have their culture and traditions, and one of the most crucial traditions involves following and believing in the Dalai Lama as their chosen spiritual leader of the people (Sambhava and Thurman 73).
To most of them, he could also be their leader on the political front as he represents the wishes of the people, and not his interests. Practitioners of the Buddhist faith believe in following a strict moral code. Training on meditation is also crucial in developing insight and compassion among people (Dalai Lama 87). The traditions of the Tibetans encompass the personal growth of the mind and body, which means that individuals get to recognise the frustration and discomfort of the human experience.
This is especially when it comes to intellectual and emotional confusion that most individuals experience. The practices involve following a path of spiritual and intellectual development. Ceremonies to commemorate the death and passing to the next life of individuals among Tibetans are also a crucial part of their culture. According to Tibetans, refusing to acknowledge that death is an imminent threat to the lives of individuals may be a source of confusion among humans. By confronting death, Tibetans believe that spiritual progress and growth can be achieved, which leads to meditation practices that enable people to confront such fears ((Sambhava and Thurman 86). In
