Importance of Mohammad to Islam Introduction The place and significance of the Prophet Mohammadin antiquity is connected to the establishment of religious society on the basis of Islam and the social foundations developed on the proclamation of the Quran, which is the book of God revealed upon Prophet Mohammad. There are some questions which are very important and associated to Prophet Mohammad and Islam like Is Prophet Mohammad a real Prophet of Islam? Due to innate hostility for Islam and Prophet Mohammad since the crusades, an animosity is present in the western world today about thoughts on Islam and Mohammad which is even visible in through their different atrocities.
Body According to Muslims belief, Mohammad is the last in the line of numerous Prophets sent to the world. Although he was not the founder of Islam but he was a reviver of Islam. Muslims, all over the world, admire him as a glorious Prophet but they also clarify that he is not God and was mortal. Prophet Mohammad has spread the message of Islam in every alcove of the world where ever he reached: The message of God’s oneness. For Muslims, he is the perfect man and the archetype of all good and his life and practices are sources of Muslim inspirations.
Following lines depict importance of Prophet Mohammad to Islam and Muslims. Prophet Mohammad as a Messenger of God: The first revelation came upon Prophet Mohammad when he was in the cave of Hira (Muhammad 125). After that the revelations continued to come over upon him for the next 26 years and collected in the form of Quran. Prophet Mohammad was a true messenger of God and a messenger of Divine revelation. Allah had chosen Prophet Mohammad to be his last and greatest Prophet of the perfect religion among all other Prophets disclosed earlier.
Development of Islam by Prophet Mohammad Prophet Mohammad has played a great role in the development of Islam. He has devoted his entire life preaching for the main ethical and moral principles of Islam (Cornell 21). He has played a key role in proselytizing Islam and in developing the new religion of Islam. Role Model Status of Prophet Mohammad Prophet Mohammad is a role model for Muslims. Muslims follow his attitude and style in their lives. The life style and charisma of Prophet Mohammad which is demonstrated during the 23 years of Prophet Hood include very cogent foundations for the complete code of political, moral social and religious life of Muslims communities all over the world (Plante 135).
Prophet Mohammad as a magnificent leader Prophet Mohammad was a secular and religious leader for all Muslims. He was the most influential leader in history of Islam. He used Islam as a means to evangelize kindness all over the world. He practiced the basic principles of modesty as a leader. He always had chosen the right path and never became a hypocrite (Larson 282). Prophet Mohammad as an Ambassador of Human rights Prophet Mohammad averted human rights for females and males both, for old and young and for all mankind regardless of social status.
He established divine principles which were against violation of people’s life, possessions and adoration. These principles were set by him long before the world knows about in the Human Rights Declaration in 1948. Prophet Mohammad and Holy Quran The importance of Prophet Mohammad’s status for Muslims is also described in the Holy Quran and Sunnah which makes it one of the important practices for Muslims to follow his teachings in their life (Iqbal 30). Conclusion The principle related to Prophet Mohammad life as a worshipper of Allah, leader, and as a human, father, husband, relative and a friend depicts his status as a role model for all Muslims.
Prophet Mohammad aggregates an excellent paradigm of chastity, agility, confabulations and other distinct characteristics for Muslims all over the world. His status is related to all aspects of life. He is not only important from the perspective of an individual person but is also significant from social perspective. These two are the adhering and concluding features of his life for Muslims. The validity of Sunnah is not confined to his life or some time of his life. It is also mentioned in the notions of Holy Quran and Sunnah for all Muslims.
This is also the real proof that Muslims practices his Sunnah in their lives.
