Abstract The aim of the essay is to understand more of the Stroop Effect. By this effect what is meant is that a writing that is having the name of the color but having different color. There could be a role of attention theory that would be requiring any person to read the word by putting more attention and that would mean there would be more effort than simply reading the text. The other theory would be that people would be able to read the words faster rather than looking at the color and reading out. The Stroop effect has been used in the done in cognitive psychology to make sure that the interaction of behaviors interacted is understood and that would be the benchmark to measure the attention and that has been use by reliability. The normal inferences are that words would be read faster than getting the names of colors and the words that has meant that reading words would be coming out when the first instance. The experiment would be done in such a way that the respondent or the person who will be undertaking the test would be required to state clearly the colour of a computer presented letter string and that has to be done using a computer key that would be corresponding very fast or within the prescribed time limit. There would be comparison of reaction times among the participants and the experiment was covered once again with the children who has been able to read and again with the children who has not been able to read and that has mean that there would be changing or using of colors that would be difficult to be said like the lavender and so on. Looking at the results the following inferences that can be made was the speed for the inconsistent colors has been seen as dropping in all segments and that would mean that there has been no variation in the pattern of the results that has been got and that would mean that there has been variation in the speed but there has been no change in the pattern. Introuduction The experiment would be to read aloud the color of the word that has been written like Yellow color for the green color ( Stroop, J. R. ,1935). The effect that would be known as the Stroop Effect and the ability to say the color of the word correctly would be the main factor. There could be a role of attention theory that would be requiring any person to read the word by putting more attention and that would mean there would be more effort than simply reading the text. The other theory would be that people would be able to read the words faster rather than looking at the color and reading out. The Stroop Effect would be having an effort in the area of cognitive psychology. Stroop effect would be saying about attention finding that would be saying the difficulty in focusing more on one thing and that can mean the difficulty in ignoring the other thing and the usual procedure of doing the experiment would be that ink and word consistency would be bringing more realistic speed in getting the correct response and the inconsistency would be giving the wrong answer. The Stroop effect has been used in the done in cognitive psychology to make sure that the interaction of behaviors interacted is understood and that would be the benchmark to measure the attention and that has been use by reliability. The Stroop effect would be having the eliminating the information that can be used in a task and that means there will be end of irrelevant information. The inferences are 1. This could be said of an example in which when driving the driver would be looking at attention during the early stages and that would mean that with the gaining of more experience there would be less anxiety and tension on the part of the driver and that would be the same driving principle under which the colour test would be taken. There would be more speed for reading the same colour every time and there would be also some trouble for reading differently and that can mean that the speed of time would be increased when the reading takes place in the second attempt and so on. This has been made possible because of the perception that the reading could be increased faster when the mind expects that there would be change in the color and that can affect the outcome. Methods The experiment would be done in such a way that the respondent or the person who will be undertaking the test would be required to state clearly the colour of a computer presented letter string and that has to be done using a computer key that would be corresponding very fast or within the prescribed time limit. M.,1991).The consistent and inconsistent conditions would be compared with the neutral condition and that would be called the independent variable ( MacLeod, C. M. ,1991). The experiment would be done in the following condition There would be comparison of reaction times among the participants( Logan, G. D. ,1980) .There would be a control group that would be saying that color of the words that would be matching the written meaning ( Logan, G. D. ,1980). There would be another control group that would be saying the color of the words that would be differing from the written meaning and there would be a group that could be said as neutral and they would be saying the colors of random words that will not be related to colors. There would be comparison of results (Logan, G. D., 1980). The children who could not read was The average speed that has been taken for the inconsistent colors has been 35 seconds which was lower than the previous score of40 seconds that was recorded. The average speed that has been taken for the neutral was 20 seconds which was lower than the previous score of23 seconds that was recorded. The average speed that has been taken for consistent colors has been 10 s which was lower than the previous score of14 seconds that was recorded. The average speed that has been taken for the inconsistent colors has been 28 seconds which was lower than the previous score of32 seconds that was recorded. The control group was again the same five members with three males and 2 females. That had shown that with experience there would be marked improvement in the data that would be recorded and that would mean that there would be change in the speed, accuracy and other factors.
