The minority group based on immigration history, race, or ethnicity is often the target of bullying since the superior group tends to project their differences as a weakness or rather a weird thing that makes them be looked down upon. Pain from the experiences of bullying that people experience tends to make them abrasive not to put up with bullying but to raise and protect themselves or their groups but opting to bully others. However, culture plays a great role in this issue. If a child was brought up with the right values and morals he/she will least likely to engage in bullying since the differences in others will not be a big deal as long as they are peers (Gelfand, Chiu, & Hong, 2011).

Animosity is an emerging issue that is fast shaping up due to cultural clashes as the world is becoming increasingly globalized. Since each group prides itself on its identity, in the even they clash may be based on religious faith or ethnicity there will be a sort of animosity that will come up between the groups involved and in some cases, it escalates to violence. For instance, the clash between the Jews and Muslims in the Middle East has increased into the animosity that has led to violence that has claimed thousands of lives. In studying a complex issue like the cultures of people and the ramifications involved in comparing various cultures quantitative methods of research are ideal since they tend to be more valid as compared to the qualitative methods (Kitayama and Cohen, 2007).

Quantitative methods are more pragmatic as they will involve an expanded sample space thus beating the shortcoming of a skewed sample space hence ensuring the outcome of the research to a large extent tries to come up with a more definite picture of the reality on the ground. Indeed, rituals influence the consumption patterns of people. For instance, it is our tradition in agreement with our feeding routine to take drinks after any meal. It implies that any meal that is served in the house should have drinks as accompaniments. Thus, even if I am going to have a meal at a restraint, I will have to order a drink to accompany it in agreement with my feeding ritual (Fiske et al., 2010).
