Released in 2013, the movie starred Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos as the lesbian protagonists of the story. However, astonishingly, neither of these characters is known to be homosexual. It can be argued in this context that if the director had any intention to attract the viewers by provoking them showing porn scenes, he would have starred homosexual actresses rather than heterosexual professionals who spared a considerable chance of discomfort, affecting the smoothness of the story. Although most people might have purchased the ticket to enjoy the porn scenes but there were majority as well, who loved the plot of the story. Undoubtedly, critics in film festivals and have credited the story as quite intriguing and strong wherein the desires and romantic feelings of a young teenage girl has been portrayed succinctly.
