Extract of sample "Deserving Seat in the Classroom like Veteran"

Many were the times when I had different other aspects of life enticing me to give up on education, and I had to sacrifice most of them to keep focused on attaining education to this level. Like everyone else who experiences some levels of emotional pain, my life has not been exceptional, since I have had to deal with some painful moments that made me perceive education as the least important concern of my life, but I have still decided to go on with it.

There are times when I sacrificed my precious time and resources that I would have used to treat and entertain myself and committed all that to pursue education. Thus, my small struggles fit in the words of the quote “Never underestimate the pain of a person, because, in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are better at hiding it than others” (Bowden, 2011). While my sacrifice could be miniature compared to the sacrifice and struggles made by our veterans, I hold the view that I have done sufficiently enough to warrant a seat in my class.
