The paper seeks to understand how human experiences, parent, and society shape, their emotions and the roles they play in cognitive perspective. Finally, the paper examines whether emotions serve any purpose for people, and what consequences might exist when people lack appropriate ways to express those emotions. The Importance of Cognition in Interpretation of a Particular Situation and the Emotions That People Feel In Response to the Situation Emotion is the most pervasive and central aspect of human experience.

While emotions color, enrich, and deepen human experience they can cause dramatic disruptions in performance and judgment. Such disruptions can sometimes be terrible and have profound consequences for society and individuals as for example in mental illnesses, suicides, and crimes of passion. According to social cognitive perspectives, people learn a behavior and how to interpret situations and emotions through modeling and conditioning (Whorf, 1956). Social cognitive theorists stress that through cognition, individuals are able to respond and interpret situations through the influence of their behavior patterns, memories, and expectations.

In the past, the understanding of the cognitive process was explosive and introduced various theories in the domains of problem-solving, language, attention, and perception (Whorf, 1956). These theories were critical in an effort to interpret particular situations and emotions such as causes of depression. Understanding human behavior and emotions were possible through the interpretation of people's interconnectedness with the environment. Recently, interpretation of emotion is possible through learning people’s behavior, recalling past memories, and data analysis.

How Experiences, Parent, and Society Shape how People Deal and Exhibit their Emotions and Whether they Play Roles in Cognitive Perspective In the process of cognition, the experience of the surrounding environment is facilitated by what people see and learn (Whorf, 1956). Individual interests in activities, people, and situations are largely influenced by their interaction with the environment. Parents, experiences, and society in general play critical roles in cognitive perspective and how people respond to different situations.

For instance, society largely shapes individuals' personalities and how they react and interpret events. Anxious people within the society are likely to seek potentially threatening events compared to less anxious people. It is through such experience and dispositions, which make people perceive the world in a different approach. Parents determine what their children know and interpret about the surrounding environments (Whorf, 1956). The process of recognition revolves around information processing through the retrieval of memories in the brain.

As such, a child interprets events based on ideas and information they learn from their guardians. Whether Emotions serve any Purpose for Human, and what Consequences might Exist if there are Inappropriate Ways to Express Those Emotions Emotions are naturally feeling associated with a personal attachment with others, situations, or events that triggers their moods and behaviors (Whorf, 1956). Emotions in humans are crucial in fastening bonds and as a way of expressing affectionate discontentment or reaction to certain events.

Lack of channels to express emotions interferes with the normal social interaction process. For example, couples express their love and affectionate through communication, touch, and gifts. A rejected partner has low self-esteem and feels unappreciated, which hider expression of emotions. This interferes with the mental, emotional social, and processes of such an individual. Conclusion Cognition process operates at every waking moment and is part of human intelligence and personality through, which people interact socially.

Through the cognition process, it is possible for an individual to interpret their situations and emotions. Emotion is vital for a normal person and if there lack proper channels for expressing emotion, the outcomes are dire.
