Shaping the Musical Preferences - Essay Example

Musical choices cannot guide psychologists toward the true personality of the individual because; the music prevailing in the society is not the true manifestation of the cultural values of that society. Thereby, it is illogical to judge people in the light of their musical preferences  (Young Jung).

            On the other hand, the musical industry is commercial therefore; it is wise to presume that it will only produce music on public demand. In light of this argument, it is painful to highlight the poor sexual orientation of American youth because, they are quite fond of Dixon Chicks who are swapping the psychological positions of males and females, which is causing gay and lesbian culture to aggravate in American youth (Klosterman).

            In parallel, Dixon Chicks may represent the overall culture of American society. However, it cannot account for the individual perception of the people, which is pretty much against gay and lesbian concepts because these concepts are causing social ethical standards in America to drop significantly. Along with this, these ideas are directly responsible for causing population growth to halt in America. Therefore, this essay is assuming homosexuality is the most dangerous social attribute prevailing in developed nations (Klosterman).

            Importantly, few social organizations are supporting lesbians and gays by raising their voices for their rights. Besides strong resistance, United States law considers sexual orientation as the private concern of an individual (Werner). Therefore, gives every right to the citizens of America to practice their sexual activities given the consent of persons participating in a relationship.

            United States law however does not permit the activities of Dixon Chicks because this band is involved in promoting public misconduct and indecent exposure. In light of this significant finding, governmental agencies should take legal action against Dixon Chicks and other similar brands. Because it is the only way by which Americans can save the next generation from confused sexual confrontation (Klosterman).

            Those people who consider themselves liberals by supporting homosexuality should reconsider their thoughts because; they are responsible for destroying the American family structure, which is the foundation of any society.

On the other hand, public awareness programs should be initiated to highlight the importance of active youth in saving the national sovereignty of America. Additionally, the government should also offer tailor-made incentives to straight couples upon their marriage to motivate them towards raising a healthy and normal family. Families must also emphasize the importance of a family in one’s life to prevent them from falling into the trap of sexual confusion.

Conclusion

            This essay viewed the active role of modern music bands in corrupting the youth of developed nations. Because they are involved in various unethical practices and thus prove to be evil role models for the youth of America. Therefore, the government must intervene to refrain these musical bands from spreading sexual confusion among adolescents.

            On the other hand, these bands are not the true representation of the cultural beliefs of Americans. Therefore, the government needs to start a public awareness program to highlight the consequences of sexual confusion

            However, the legal environment blesses any individual to practice his or her preferred sexual orientation with the consent of another person or persons. However, the law does not foresee the social devastation caused by homosexuality. Therefore, the law should be modified to incorporate changing dynamics of the problem at hand.

            Finally, this essay is concluding in favor of the viewpoint of the article under review because it presented the phenomenon of confusing sexual orientation in the US and other developed countries. Along with this, it also presented sound logical reasoning to highlight the role of modern musical bands in destroying the ethical and social value structure in America.
