Report Writing/Intelligence and Wisdom REPORT WRITING/INTELLIGENCE AND WISDOM Interviewing and Observational Strategies Assignment #1: Report Writing As long as the reader is a medic and he or she will be assisting in further treatment of the patient, then the client’s confidentiality cannot be jeopardized. However, if the reader is not a medical practitioner and he or she will not contribute on further treatment of the client, then the client’s confidentiality would be jeopardized. Additionally, according to the excerpt, I do not think there is anything included in the report that can jeopardize the client’s confidentiality.

This is so since all the information included in the report - the clinical history, observations, social data and test data - are necessary for continual treatment of the patient. All the information in the report is relevant since the client’s history and social data highly contribute to a clear diagnostic analysis (Greg, 1990). I would have second thoughts on the idea of letting the client review the report. The first reason is on the basis that the report contributes to the treatment of the client, and the idea of him viewing the report will not help in his treatment.

Most importantly, the client has already helped by contributing his personal information to aid in his treatment; in other words, viewing the report will not contribute to his treatment. The second reason attributes to the client passing judgment in himself after reading the report; this will ultimately have a negative impact on the progressive treatment of the client (Tingle, 2002). In particular, I will be comfortable to release this report to a medical practitioner, that is referral doctor, who will form part of the progressive treatment of the client.

This information will update the referral doctor on the client’s history, diagnosis and the treatment procedures (Tingle, 2002).Class #2 Cognitive Psychology Assignment #2: Intelligence and WisdomAs for me, intelligence entails the capability of using one’s mentality or understanding in order to work out conceptualize a situation, solve a problem or improve a defined circumstance. My definition is consistent with the theories learnt since intelligence to me relies with the aspect of applying mental thinking, with the objective of reasoning out a new idea or a way of solving a problem (Robert, 2002).

Politics and business require strategic and tactical thinking; the individuals charged with campaigns and negotiations should demonstrate intelligence. For instance, a campaign manager is supposed to demonstrate a high degree of intelligence. The campaign manager will use his intelligence to investigate the tactics and strategies his opponents are using in their political campaign. Through this intelligence, the campaign manager will be able to formulate his political strategy aimed at countering his opponents’ strategies during the campaign process (Robert, 2002).

Intelligence is a cultivated wisdom in the sense that wisdom is a gift that helps in defining what is right or what is wrong. Wisdom further depicts ethical and moral aspects. On the other hand, intelligence comes about through life experiences, reading and learning from books, the process of continuously acquiring and applying new knowledge to situations (Sternberg & Jarvin, 2009). A university professor is an intelligent individual who has been studying for years and, as a result, holds a number of degrees.

If this professor is married and goes ahead to initiate a relationship with one of his female students who has not reached the age of 20 years, then it will be considered that this professor has acted in a manner that demonstrates a lack of wisdom. Culture influences intelligence and wisdom in an individual in that it instills ethical and moral values (Sternberg & Jarvin, 2009). ReferencesGreg, N. (1990). Psychological Report Writing Tips.
