To Whom It May Concern: This letter is written to strongly refute allegations leading to xxxxx wrongful termination. On October I was scheduled to attend and present at a professional development conference. Instead, I was called to a room and was informed that I was being terminated. I was informed the termination was for being cruel to children and staff harassment. There were four incidents stated. Three of these incidents happened the first week of school (August 22-29). The termination meeting was the first I had been informed I had violated conduct issues. 1) It was stated that I was cruel to a custodian.

In practice, however, the custodian and I greeted and spoke every day. Oftentimes we would discuss her daughter’s success in school. The issue came about when I would ask her about cleaning tape off the wall, which appeared very unbecoming to a classroom She informed me that she would remove the tape. After I saw the tape was still on the wall, I placed the work in Micro-main hoping that it would get done. A few days went by and I saw the custodian in the hallway. I asked to her to please find someone to remove the tape off the wall; otherwise, I would do it myself or pay someone to remove it.

She immediately called her supervisor. A few days later Mr. xxxx called me. Mr. xxxxx informed me that he was in charge of the custodians. 2). It was stated that I was cruel to children. This alleged incident regarded one student. I was making my daily instructional focus walks where I would visit classes to gather a quick look at instruction and greet the children. I arrived at the fifth grade teacher’s class where I noticed a 5th grade boy standing in front of the class speaking, but no one could hear what he was saying.

The class seemed restless and instructional time was being wasted. I asked the boy to speak up. Immediately, the teacher came to me and said that the boy was in SPED. I informed the teacher that SPED students have to be encouraged to speak up when speaking in front of the class. One student mentioned that the student does this behavior every day. Although this incident occurred during the first week of school, I did not hear of this incident again until October 1st at the termination meeting.

I want to further mention that I worked with Special Education children for three years. More than three-fourth of the children tested out of the program. Additionally, I worked with severely autistic children for two years. Under the NCLB law all students are held to the same achievement expectations and I embrace this notion for student progress.3) I was accused of harassing the counselor. Before the testing incident, the counselor and I had a strong working relationship. The counselor was selected by the testing office to coordinate the testing.

She sought to coordinate the entire process without seeking advice from me. I have over ten years of coordinating experience and/or taking part in testing which was monitored by OSSE. I received an excellent rating every year. In the above states incidents I responded as a professional administrator. As the facts have demonstrated, there is no indication of harassment or cruelty. There is only a strong indication of a great administrator who sets high expectations and expects the same of others.

When I first arrived at the organization, I was proud to be part of what it represented. I also respected what XXXX had accomplished. I actually turned down two major administration jobs to become a part of this organization. I will never forget the first day XXXXX saw me, he threatened me after I was so anxious to see him. I feel he missed the big picture. The big picture was that we were all on the same team. We all were working toward seeing the children succeed, not placing personal concerns over the success of the student body.

With this passion and motivation in mind I was able to: • Implement “Reading Partners” – An intervention program that provides one- on- one tutorial for at-risk reading students. • Implement “Compass Learning”- An intervention innovative assessment and remedial software program that provides ongoing reading and mathematics tutorial daily • Establish an all day training for teachers regarding the Compass Learning program • Encourage Compass Learning and Reading Partners to donate colorful partnership banners to the school • Establish a fulltime welcoming team • Provide monetary incentives for students in grades 3-5 to master their facts • Craft the budget to allow teachers to purchase at least $300.

00 worth materials to instruct their children. • Coordinate a book fair where students can receive $600.00 worth of Scholastic Books materials • Provide new books and resources for teachers to replenish their classroom libraries • Establish Donuts and Coffee time for parent training and collaboration • Model best practices for teachers to engage in using with their students equity sticks, “wait-time folders, smart objective, differentiated instruction, guided reading, time management, how to inform standards and much more.

• Resolve potential HOD case and lawsuit. The parent was so impressed with how I conducted the meeting, she now wants to be an active partner of the school. • Although xxxxx was a restructuring 2 school, the climate made parents feel proud and trusted that their children would be successfulI implore the committee to take into account my background, experience, and passionate commitment to the success of children under my care. I recognize that I may have experienced a cultural clash of personality upon assuming my position, but I wholeheartedly object to any notion that I did not act within a strong and definable ethical boundary, or function with the utmost concern for the students at mind.

I appreciate your time and consideration. Since Regards,
