Friends can influence them to use alcohol. The advice organization gives to the parents is that they should explore their child behavior, be vigilant on any unusual changes and discourage them from alcohol, additionally, they could take the already abusing alcohol youngsters to therapy (Fagan et al 2009). NIAAA has been working with the scientist throughout the world to explore the consequences caused by alcohol. There has been increase in the number of problems posed by alcoholism. The availability of research institute like NIAAA has been appreciated. Furthermore, the organization has been teaming up with international research institutes for sharing and more research on alcohol, the consequence to health of the society and ways to curb its abuse. They have teamed with Indiana University Alcohol Research Center. In addition, they have also worked together with other states such as Canada. Research done by the institutes explains the alcohol effects on health and explains more on extend to which it harms the organs in the body, for example the research done explains that liver can be damage or cause liver cancer if the person exposes herself or himself to heavy drinking every day. Research goes further to explain other side effects of alcohol such as hangovers, pancreas effects and heart problems. American Society of Addiction Medicine is organization under national trade associations with its functions to the society as follows; training of physicians, provide easy access to medical for addiction, they also advertise more on addition medicine so that more agencies, hospitals and the government could have access and know its availability. There are quite a number of national advocacy groups existing internationally. The group acts as the supporters for health care organization nationally. AARP is one of the groups, its sees that individuals with age above 50 years are provided with their requirements. An alliance for justice is another advocacy group that sees that fare justice is provided to every individual in the society, inclusive of the sick mentally. They also ease accesses to resources for better provision of justices. The child advocate support a child in various filed like education and ensures that children access better medical standards. They also team up with government and national states to ensure that child support is accomplish. Recovery mutual aid societies have been advising communities such as families on ways to reduce alcoholism. Some of them are Drunkard Clubs, Ribbon Reform Clubs and Washingtonian Temperance Society. They have been doing it by giving them the stories about the experience they had with alcoholism. The information they have on addition and recovery from alcohol has been availing to the public through mass meetings and meeting with lone individual who want help to recover from alcoholism. Additionally the members of the family might keep distances from him because he might be abusing or violent. If the family members come closer during treatment after the addict visits therapist, they will ease recovery of the addict. The treatment is provided to the addict basing on the evidence that he or she has been separated with the members of the family. The family is first provided with the information on drug and alcohol addiction. This will be self-esteem to them hence helping one its member-overcome addiction. Furthermore a group of family members would be grouped together to interact and share information regarding drug and alcohol addiction and their recovery process. The addict dealing with the problem will get information on how he or she can tackle addiction.
