Managers are emphasizing on MNCs (multinational corporations) that narrows down on the international human resource management (Shen, 2011). This article also discusses human resource management from different countries and finds big variations of management systems among countries. The reason for this is that IHRM has led to internationalization in business because international companies are increasingly producing and marketing beyond their origin (Wales, 2011). Critique of the article The article comprehensively covers international human resource management. Most laudable is the introduction of the concept of HRM and PR and gives the difference between the two. The article looks at human resource management in two multinational companies in China and South Korea. From these contexts, it builds its explanation of international human resource management, which managers are increasingly using since companies are employing people beyond their countries (Gray, 2013). This article also mentions the need for globalization that has made international trades possible. Therefore, it introduces human resource management at the international level. The article also argues that the study of this subject has evolved with globalization. Business is now operating in an international environment. This piece introduces IHRM model that focuses on interactions of human resource activities, country categories in HRM and employee categories in international firms (Zheng, 2013). This piece of work introduces all the stakeholders involved in this type of management. These include the role of the manager, host country that has the subsidiary, home country or company headquarters (Gray, 2013). Some stakeholders include other countries that are source of inputs like labor, finance among other inputs. On the other hand, employees, host-country citizens, parent-country citizens and third-country nationals form part of IHRM (Wales, 2011). Weakness of the article The article does not clearly state its methodology. It gives a detailed explanation of international human resource management without stating the criteria of getting such information. The article also introduces the concept of personnel management versus human resource management, which has proved difficult for many scholars to differentiate. The author should go an extra mile of explaining personnel management in details rather than a shallow coverage of the same. The article should state which multinational corporations model to incorporate in management. Some articles prefer the South Korean model that this article only mentions. Politics affects public relations in host countries but this article does not cover this. This is an important fact considering the fact that the whole world is now depending on political stability to determine their economic ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

...that different cultures have different moral codes, many as well as I believe that there is such a thing as a “natural right”1, that which everything and anything that violates that “right” can be considered universally wrong (Harman 367). And I agree with Harman’s position that Moral (Cultural) Relativism is not against natural rights, but is the foundation of these rights. Such rights include the sanctity of life, and the right to protection (“the right to not be harmed”) (370). Cultural Relativism is an excellent tool in understanding the practices among different cultures but it should not be a standard in viewing and judging certain events and people. Because Cultural relativism assumes that societal ethics is not...

.... The respondent may find themselves manipulated into saying more than they intended. The onus must lie with researchers to establish their own ethical code in such matters. (Ball, 1991, p. 181) Ethics in research has become a part of every scientific research project, whether politically or morally motivated. Educational research is no exception. However, the model it has been based on may be in need of serious review in order to more effectively guard against not only unethical practice but of inappropriately applied standards.
