Strengths and Limitations of Qualitative Research The strengths of the qualitative research is based on empiricism as the method will make the researchers explore on the behavioral experience of the participants (Kumar, 2005).

Moreover, the study is strong in terms of describing the direct issue or problem of the study. The method is valuable with its ability to be explorative especially when it could be used as case analyses (Kumar, 2005). Therefore, the qualitative methodological research seems to be interesting because of its communicative way of narrating the results of the study. Strengths and Limitations of Quantitative Research The quantitative method has the strengths of making the researchers to be rational with the ability to reason concretely and abstractly (Kumar, 2005).

The sample size population of the quantitative method makes the research reliable and dependable because generalizability of the results could be determined. Quantitative method could describe the prevalence, incidence, and determine the applicability of theories based on the research. Moreover, this method could be unique and accountable as a researcher could become analytical on the statistical results of a certain study (Kumar, 2005) . The limitations of this method includes its inability to become flexible and to be useful to other fields and topics or issues.

The theories that are use in a certain research topic could not be related to the local readers and learners perspective. Moreover, there is too much focus on the theoretical basis of the story which makes the researcher’s analysis not to explore and question other factors that may have affected the result of the studies (Tashakkori & Teddlie, 2003) . The results could be too general for a certain population without contextual specification for other group of participants (Creswell, 2003). Strengths and Limitations of Mixed-Method Research Mertens (2010) noted the advantage of mixed-method research in which the collaboration of quantitative and qualitative methods could complement how the findings or results of the study will be robust.
