of Article Computer use and exercise may help to fight memory loss (By myhealthnewsdaily.com). The article has content that supports the use of both computer and doing exercises in maintaining mental status of the brain. In the article, evidence that is based on research argues that through exercising and using computer regularly, memory loss is controlled. The argument in the experiment is that people who do both exercise and use computers keep their mind healthy because of the lifestyle. From a psychological point of view, the nature part and its influence on mental health has been explained in the article.

The basis of the article is that human beings need to be physically healthy, which is the nature part of it. Alternatively, they need to be in a conducive environment for them to be exercising their minds. The author should otherwise have related to human development across the lifespan in explaining the cause of memory loss that comes up with time. The article should also have focused on avoiding other constraints in life such as use of drugs. In relation to biological psychology, memory is maintained by the hippocampus of the brain whose status is critical in ensuring that people have a memory that is steady.

The intake of food nutrients that are especially rich in potassium can also improve memory, and that is what the author should have been keen on, to ensure that the article is comprehensive. The focus should have been so much on other biological and social factors that can improve memory. Article 2: Blame high school sports for the rise in type 2 diabetes in kids (The Dallas Morning news). The author argues that most schools are not including kids in sporting activities because they find them to be unfit to contribute results to the teams.

As a result of this, the lifestyles of these kids who are not included in sporting activities are affected by obesity and no much can be done. The only way that obese children can be assisted is by ensuring that they participate in sporting activities in their schools. Apart from lifestyle, there are other factors that cause of obesity in children other than lack of sporting at school level. Eating disorders have also been found to contribute to high chances of obesity in that people who have a preference for certain kinds of foods that are known to lead to obesity.

The article would have been better if it also highlight the debate that has been raging over genetic cause of obesity. The extent to which genetics affect the transmission of diabetes and the premise that some instances of obesity have been known to run in families need to have also been highlighted in the article. The article puts the whole blame of increase in obesity among most kids as being due to poor school programs but the manner of lifestyles at home for these kids is not highlighted in the article.

Article 3: No mother’s day? Why model Christy Turnington Burns wants a boycott (Health land Times). The article is about maternal death during pregnancy and causes of it. In the article, Burns is calling on all mothers to boycott the mother’s day and instead to come up with No mother’s day that is aimed at raising awareness to husbands and other people on the plight of women who encounter pregnancy complications. The model argues that almost 90% of these deaths can be prevented and she is hence making a call to all women around the world to take part in the initiative that is aimed at controlling it.

Maternal mortality being the subject matter of the article above has been attributed to lack of medical care for mothers during periods when they are pregnant. In the development across the lifespan, life from conception is very important for both the mother and the baby and any inconsistencies put the life of the mother at risk during birth. The article needed to advocate for better care and lifestyle for mothers who are pregnant so that it doesn’t result into complications during birth. The emotional well being of the mother affects the child in a way that an increase in the level of stress causes antibodies to move across the placenta to the body of the baby thus causing antigen, antibody reactions.

Apart from calling for urgent medical care plan for pregnant mothers, the content of the article would have been enriched by suggesting that the psychological well being of the mother can be improved through exercising and a well balanced diet that is fundamental for the growth of the baby. A well managed gestation period that is characterized by a period of emotional stability is highly likely to reduce complications at birth that result from poor management during this period. The model also needed to encourage all mothers to go for counseling during the period when they are expectant and frequent checkups to ensure that they are progressing in the right direction.
