The relationship between cognition, emotion and aggression participate in promoting aggressive behavior. Neural emotions also affect predictions towards aggressive behavior. Furthermore, environmental factors influence human behavior in such a way that childhood experiences later show effects in future life as offensive, aggressive and anti-social behavior in adulthood. Past experiences always show clear consequences in the coming life in either normal or violent way because it is a commonly observable factor that in the modern society there are certain people who mostly react in violent ways.
It is observed that children copy their parents in great many ways either in term of tolerance or violent behavior in a manner similar to what they observe since their childhood and the environment they spend their lives at home. These adopted ideas and behaviors also nurture them to become dominant. This dominance attracts them a lot and their desire to become like their parents in their early ages leads to violent behavior in their future. We see/observe ourselves adopting someone’s behavior, way of talking, dressing and it is a natural phenomenon of human psychology.
It is detected that both genetic predisposition factors mould individuals throughout their development phase. Importance of genes and environmental influence on any given trait or ability is the development process of genetic and environment. Behavioral genetics can make understanding of antisocial and violent behavior. Genes are associated with risk and develop better mechanics of interplay between environments. Problem Statement Does Nature or Nurture lead to Violent Behavior? Research Question To study the impact of Nature and Nurture on Violent Behaviors Literature Review Genetic risk may not be at behavioral level unless combined with a toxic environment.
Diagonistic boundaries may be revised in the light of genetic information. Genetic information should never be used to reproduce too much probabilistically rich to predict outcome used to decide who gets access to treatment. The most effective and invasive means of prevention and treatment is the person’s specific strength. Demonstrated ethological differences between distinct subtypes of children with early inset antisocial behavior prove that the possibility that intervention may need to interagate information of different genetic risk is crucial for understnding the mechanism and environmental risk factors (Viding, 2004).
Most studies on antisocial behavior ignore the biological factors and their contribution in altering the social behavior to more violent, aggressice and antisocial attitudes. The presence of a poor social environement is a major factor in encouraging and developing antisocial behavior. Structural factors and their interaction with an individual genes to avoid potential violations of social constructs are based purely on biological trait. Biological and structural perespectives need to be considered in order to establish comprehensive strategies to overcome or reduce violence and aggression.
In such a way violent behavior will be reduced over a long term basis. Both biological and structural factors have great influence on violent behaviors. The collective efforts are useful in
