The information is sent to the brain for processing and further feedback. Sensory neurons do take information from the receptors to the central nervous system while the motor neurons take information from the CNS to an effector. The firing patterns are as a result of the neurons being contextually positioned in the regions of sensory, motor and emotions which does translate the signals, intentions, feelings, and actions of human beings into their experiences in the subconscious (Myers, 2010). This is able to shape human behavior.
The concept of pattern recognition exhibited by the nervous system does imply that firing of certain neurons does trigger very specific emotions that define disgust, happiness, pain and other defensive actions (Ebbi, 2010). One particular personality trait that I think is genetically oriented hence heritable is the addiction which is a physical dependency on certain substances considered proactive in nature. This addiction personality could be in form of drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, food or just work depending on the environment one grows thus being genetically predisposed, much as the level of predisposition differs from person to person.
I think what determines the outcome of this heritable personality trait is the level of coping skills one has and how he or she effectively applies them. A trait that I think is not heritable is openness which is an appreciation of things such as emotions, art, adventure, imagination, curiosity, and unusual ideas. For instance, language proficiency and creative communication might not be inherited. This is because I tend to think it is not a serious genetic trait. Genetics would impact some people greatly than others due to the difference in levels of both predisposition and coping skills level applied by the person (Myers, 2010; Weiten, 2010)).
Standardization of a musical aptitude test can be achieved by repeated testing of the questions generated to achieve a measure that is reliable and can be proven valid. I would thus do the tests on students over and over to make sure that the given response is what should be expected in future tests. Reliability is achieved when one gets the same response over time when these tests are done on students. Getting the same results over and over brings about reliability. Validity comes with the fact that these tests can be relied upon (Weiten, 2010).
