Travel Demand Model This model, also known as traffic model aims to identify transport demands of passengers like how much travelling people would prefer under certain conditions of transport services, price and land use policies.

Then it utilizes this data to anticipate volumes of traffic on roadways and other consequent effects like pollution emissions and congestion (Slack, 2013).2. Trip and Parking Generation Models Information is gathered from multifarious site surveys by publications like the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Trip Generation and Parking Generation to gauge the quantity of vehicle trips and vehicles parked in various localities. Through such information estimates are made about the effect of new developments on the amount of required parking space and local traffic volumes (Litman, 2012).3. Economic Evaluation Models Economic models focus on identifying and comparing the benefits of certain transportation improvements, like the advantage of expanding a roadway or improvement in public transit service.

 They endeavor to compare multifarious classifications of benefits and costs. They concentrate on a comparatively limited set of advantages. For instance they often overlook vehicle ownership cost savings and parking considerations that arise due to switching of travelers from automobile travel to other modes (TRB-Transportation Research Board).4.
