The PPD Reflective Summary PPD- personal professional development is monitoring the professional and personal development as an individual in a course. It’s about the professional development as a student. What has he learnt from the course, did he found anything intriguing in it? To what relevant he got involved in it and is practically applying it in more creative terms in practical life. It’s about personal development, how a person develops using his mind and heart balance to create or explore a new dimension of him.

It put forwards the approach of the grow model goal, how a person should analyze it work for betterment. Defining a problem, finding a validate solution to it and making it presentable. It also motivates a person to set goal ahead for himself who would motivate him to work hard and gradually lead to better development as an individual to be responsible punctual and open to criticism. It helps a person to think about what one is learning from the education they are receiving, they need to be fully aware of the surrounding and adaptive to changes.

I worked in group for my presentation on this project which gave me an opportunity to explore my dimension as an individual. I was able to mix with them easily and convince them with my ideas, tried making it easy to move with one vision after all that is what fashion industry demands interacting with new people and generating new ideas to satisfy the consumers. At points I had to convince the rest with my point with valid information and at points I was to be convinced. I enjoyed the group discussions we had.

As an individual I get to understand my group members well and see how well I could gel with them, what strengths each posses and how can we make that work in our favor. This actually encouraged us to work as a team and encounter all the challenges we faced together. Discussing the ideas with our teacher helped me to evaluate where I stand. It gave me a brief what he expects out of us and how can we improve. Other than this the literature view was a great source of help to understand the whole concept more clearly and vividly.

It also gave me a chance to view some great stories of the successful brands in the industry today. It not only inspired me but impressed me with the fact how well we can use our head to manipulate the consumers with the given resources. It will give me an opportunity to present my ideas to the audience and convincing them to accept it, to experience the job I would be doing in upcoming years of my career and I am very excited about it. All together it has been an adventurous journey because I got to explore my own self through this.

It gave a practical idea of the fashion industry’s history to its future, of what it holds for us.
