?Portfolio Introduction I look forward to work in an organization that will utilize my expertise and knowledge optimally and broaden my professional vision by providing a competitive working environment where individuals can strive to benefit the mankind and nation specifically. I have done internships in two companies of high repute. As a career objective I wish to work in an environment where I can enhance my skills and knowledge along with productive application of the knowledge. I have intense interest in programming and technical courses and I have conducted around two workshops and one seminar myself in the university where more than 200 students attended. I also served as a research assistant in two labs of my university and I got immense opportunities to learn there in a very reputable environment. I am a quick and efficient learner, excellent in making social contacts that can lead to positive grooming with regards to profession and general behavior. I adjust easily with the new and dynamic environment to deliver the results optimally. I like to work in a team to sharpen the learning experience by competing with positive enthusiasm. Analytical record Date: The employer was a renowned company in the information technology sector which has offered multiple competitive job openings and organized a lecture to nurture the students in accordance with the emerging trends in the cooperate world. The main emphasis was on the availability of jobs in the information technology sector and how the students can avail diverse opportunities timely in order to grab the best and alluring careers. The students were told that there are multifarious scales of job opportunities in the IT sector. The jobs span caries from telecommunication companies to software houses. The requirements are good programming skills and managerial know-how. We were surprised to learn about a contemporary trend in the interviews, and that is a very less emphasis is given on the CGPA rather it is the skills and technical know-how which weighs more in the IT industry. The main advantages in this field is rapid wealth generation and an individual can avail multiple opportunities at a time. I have started to focus more on the technical courses as there is a primary requirement for technical skill set in IT industry. Jobs are copious and manifold and the opportunities are expanding day by day. Date: The employer was an eminent and acclaimed member of the HR industry. The lecture focused on the importance of managerial skills among the students’ of technical courses. The hybrid structure of skill set was emphasized among the students because in the modern cooperate world; one cannot survive by only converging the emphasis on one area of knowledge. The lecturer told the students that they can plan to follow a Master in business administration program in some university of good repute because there is an increasing demand of IT project managers in the market. The disadvantage of following a hybrid program can be lack of focus on divergence of efforts. Date: The employer was an extolled and distinguished member the mobile development market. The session was really interactive and interesting. The importance of mobile development was explained to students and it was depicted through graphs that how the mobile development jobs are taking a huge leap in the current cooperate world. The explosion of mobile OS’s like Android and iOS have given a boost in the overall market scenario. The advantage of mobile developments is very diverse as this field is now being considered as ever green. Though android and i-phone have touched their climax but there is a new introduction in this global market in the form of windows mobile development. The switch of the field is also easy. I am now trying to get my majors in mobile developments programming languages because I have developed an intense interest in it. Date: Employer was one of the esteemed and acclaimed parts of the telecom sectors. It was told to us that there are plenty o job scope for the fresh graduates and this is a total misconception that every telecom company needs some experience from the employee before hiring. Some very useful tips were given to write targeted CV’s and how one should prepare for a job interview. Similarly, requirements of getting hired in the Telco’s were explained with comprehensive details. The important point in the session was the interactive techniques used to inculcate all the students and motivate them to take part in the lecture and come up with new suggestions about the job interviews and working environments. The lecture was focused on the emerging field of article writing, content management and online markets. Session was interesting and concepts of rapid wealth generation were discussed in detail. Students learnt a lot in this session because the importance of software developers in the field of robotics and communication systems was explained. Professional networking The social and cooperate networking is of importunate importance in today’s emanating and engrossing cooperate world. The interpersonal and networking skills are now being considered as imperative and essential standard to evaluate a CV. The importance of the interpersonal and social connections is not only limited to the business world rather many famous universities regard it as a primary condition in MS programs. The social networking presence and online profile connections are the integral part of this phenomenon. I have tried at my utmost level to exploit my professional networking in the job hunt process. During all the seminars, lectures and workshops at the university, it is my habit to communicate with the employers directly in order to express my talent and know about the opportunities in the practical cooperate world matching my skills. The key in the professional networking is the exposure to the cooperate sector and how ell an individual can communicate in less time. After the initial communications, I always add the employers online at many important platforms like LinkedIn and twitter in order to keep in touch and also to keep a track of the upcoming jobs. I keep on updating my CV and float them to my social contacts via email and other sources in order to make my presence felt. Targeted CV’s are of core importance in the present process of applying to the jobs. Similarly, I always try to serve any utility to the people and work without any intentions of gain because we have learned that goodwill in an asset in itself and it pays off sooner or later. I try to take part in extracurricular activities because this gives a chance to meet new people and expand the networking circle. I did my internships in the well known companies during the summer and this was only due to my public relations edge otherwise the information pollution is so much expanded that an individual can get stuck in loads of applicants. Similarly, helping the people from the professional networking circle, pays off very productively. I intend to use my networking contacts circle in the hunt for job as it will help to flourish and expand my talent. The importance of professional networking is of pivotal nature in the modern times because of the massive applicants for one job opening. The employer needs something new or a push to hire someone because all the CV’s and job applications look similar. To remove this similarity in the job applications, one must use some personal contacts or extra set of skills to move his file upwards inn the hierarchy. I always try to keep in touch with whole of my networking circle and use them optimally in my job hunt and career counseling. Strengths and Weaknesses My craving to work in the competitive environment where I can exhaust all of my skills optimally can be regarded as my greatest strength in the employment scenario. I love to work in the challenging environments because it is the primary principal of project risk management that high risk leads to high gain. Similarly, my increased skill set will also be a competitive edge for me as compared to many other employees because a part from core programming skills, I have hands on experiences with windows and android phone development. Similarly, my communication and writings skills are also congenial. This compounded set of skills is my strength and I intend to deploy it completely at the work place. Working in a team and trying to cooperate with each other in a humble environment can also be counted as my strength. Studying in a university of known repute has taught us that there are several kinds of people in every working or academic environment. Some can learn quickly other can take time. The key to the successful and productive team work is the synchronization between the slowest and the quickest. We have also learnt problem solving skills in intense details that will help us in the practical world. Different kinds of problems can arise which can have multiple solutions. Choosing the optimal solution within minimum time is the key and that surely is great workplace strength. There are certain loop holes in every working environment and a good employee is the one who not only adjusts with the new cooperate environment but also seeks different ways to amend it. I have strength of leading from the front and I just take productive initiatives irrespective of the fact that I will have to face some problem or not. This is because of the fact that according to my perspective, unforeseen problems can be faced in any scenario and each gain of profit needs some productions from out of scratch. If there will be no one to take initiatives in the cooperate world about the implementations of new ideas or ideas from out of the box then there will be certainly a monotony in the working environment. My urge to help others even if effects my work in a negative way can be regarded as my weakness. I cannot surpass someone without helping him if he is stuck at somewhere. Similarly, another weakness of mine is that I am a bit lazy and unable to wake up early so that can cause some problems for me in the practical world but I have been working on its solution and also talked with my teachers and employment tutor. They have suggested me some remedies which I am practicing these days and results are positive. Employability Personal Tutor I am going to take full advantage of the experience and learning of Employability Personal Tutor in the next semester. I intend to learn targeted CV writing, how to prepare for jobs, answering critical and crucial questions in an interview and how can I be prominent in thousands or applicants. I will try to give mock up tests and interviews in order to remove by hesitation in the interview process and will also try to shape my communication skills. I will ask him to conduct some extra classes on communication as this is the key in the employments process and job search. I will also ask my Employability Personal Tutor to give me more tasks and tests in order to go through a comprehensive training procedure. I will emphasize that the tests should be in accordance with the contemporary tests and mock up exams in the job opening sessions. Dress code training and tips to meet major employers will also be my focus of learning. I will ask him to give me some tips to enhance the professional networking circles and teach me some ways through which I can maintain and establish contacts with some gurus of the cooperate world. I will try to force him to conduct a training program or workshop in order to teach the students that how we can keep track of the upcoming jobs that match our skills.
