Labor Studies THESIS MENT Labor rising entrances disremembered victories of the distant, not so distant along with recent past. It has been an evolving but prominent phenomenon in the annals of history of global nations. The essay intends to provide an opinion based study regarding the aspect of labor rising and political economy in America. Moreover, this essay also provides individual perceptions and thoughts regarding the labor union power and political along with economic aspects of labor rising. DISCUSSION Labor rising is not a current issue in America. In the early history, workers organized strike for wages, demands of fair housing, along with insisting on environmental regulations which hamper the political economy of the nation. According to Greenwald and Katz, it has been found that mainstream labor had traditionally defined their role in the economy and political perspective. It has also been noted that the US government has promoted the job growth by supporting American foreign policies and domestic energy policy (189-227). With regard to the scenario of labor rising, most of the authors argue that labor needs to reassert a role in advocating for the evicted, but not as loyal insiders and partners in the political economy. On the other hand, Andrew Ross challenged the labor rising procedure and told that to think about the climate crises of the union strategy. He also suggested the laborers to take the “Eco- Keynesianism” strategy which is helpful and supports the green development of the federal funding. Similarly, the economist Marcellus Andrew asserted that economics is not just always about the market but it is also the factor which workers sell through their labor. In addition, Bill Fletcher Jr. also highlighted about organized labor and he told that Union Conservative is not the key factor for labor rising. According to him, the leadership paid no attention to the fact that racial separation existed in the boatyard and that workers of color were mostly limited to the dirtiest along with most dangerous of the jobs. It was seen in the American labor history that U.S. labor union movement existed as a contradiction. This contradiction includes fighting for inclusion and reaching out to support workers overseas (189-227). With reference to asserted aspects, it can be opined that the labor movement has played a major role in the United States. It is apparent that many people came to the United States as laborers. Moreover, the unionization of laborers also takes its roots from the early history in the America. This labor rising movement can be solved through the notion of Eco-Keynesianism, green jobs along with embracing a climate for labor justice. According to Andrew Ross, this process is one of the win-win prospects to emerge from the wave of hope that swept the Obama administration to power the promise of creating a new generation of sustainable livelihoods as part of the shift to an economy. Most of the labor movements fluctuated into line behind like a savvy industrial policy and commentators were slow to conclude between labor and greens. Responsively, it can be said that American government needs to take some actions and develop their labor movement within the nation. The United States needs to follow the Chinese industrial sector, for example, in 2009, Suntech, China’s leading solar panel based manufacturer announced plans to build a facility in the metro phoenix area. It was the first plant built by a prime Chinese clean energy company within the US. Moreover, the United States is the key player in the renewable energy field which facilitates America to increase the labor force. Conversely, it is viewed that American laborers has taken some fledgling steps in the direction of international organizing. This movement is helpful and includes all types of workers. In this regard, Marcellus Andrew opined that economics means not just money but it means labor. With reference to this view, it can be opined that such a suggestion can certainly be upheld as it certainly true in every economy that laborers are the prime source to generate money in the economy. Along with this, a facet has also grabbed the attention that most of the workers in an economy have not enough money to spend. A few of the employers believe that the sources of the money are bonds, stocks and real estate. Some of the employees’ income is less than others. Moreover, the facet of labor bargain in the United States is not just a bargaining about the work and pay condition but it is also a substitute meaning of economic freedom in a market society. This market economy is one of the key reasons of the labor rising in the America. If labor rising situation needs to be ceased then economic perspective requires to be changed. Labor solidarity and economic veil of ignorance is one of the key factors for labor rising in the United States. This process helps the workers at promoting freedom, dignity along with rendering certain opportunities. These factors are beneficial for the workers. In this related context, the peril of narrow labor solidarity is a labor movement for wages and benefits of the laborers. It is also very beneficial for the workers. However, at times this process might fail due to governmental reasons. Moreover, the other reason for not attaining desired success is failure in the market economy. It can be stated that one way through which laborers can narrowly improve their circumstances is to improve their bargaining power and increase the creed or ethnicity (Greenwald and Katz 189-227). CONCLUSION It can be said that in the political economy, laborers play a vital role to ascertain the stability of a nation’s economic structure. Organized laborers’ condition in the America has viewed a sea of change in the past century. Eco-Keynesianism can pave the way for ensuring labor justice in the present perspective of US economy. If due care is not taken regarding the aspect of labor movement, the uprising can even bring about certain major obstacles for the government of the nation to ensure sustainable administration. Labor stability can aid a nation to register unprecedented development through the indigenous commitment and hard work of laborers. Work Cited Greenwald, Richard, and Daniel Katz.
