The Repercussions of Obama not Being Elected for a Second Term
The most and great influential individuals and agencies in the US such as the former secretary of state Collin Powell and the New York Times are gearing to support Obama’s re-elction bid. According to the proponents of his campaign policies, Obama is the only black president who has ever fought to its fullest to ensure middle class medical support (Gallup 35). When he entered the White House in 2008, the country’s economy was staggering just as Hillary Clinton termed it as “economy stupid” a phrase that came to be known by almost every economist. Prospects indicate that, if Obama happens to lose his bid for the second term at the helm, there will be repercussions (Lowe 50). This paper will seek to develop a theoretical framework and conceptualize each concept then discuss the repercussions of Obama losing a second term re-election bid.
A theoretical framework describes the theoretical perspective of a writer and brings out a literally basic approach aimed at describing a concept. In Obama’s case, things might prove to be hard and unfavorable for most Americans especially the middle class if he happens to lose his second term presidential bid. Looking at his performance at the White House when he first joined in 2008, it is seeable that the country’s economic status was at a deteriorated potion (Lowe 68). However, with concerted efforts and time Americans are today able to look back and say he has indeed revived the US economy. One of the Obama’s current economic themes is to have no job outsourcing. Pertinently, America does not need to outsource jobs as it has adequate labor supply. Obama also promises to continue with his reforms in cutting down the government spending by $4 trillion dollars. As of now, he has managed to cut down $ trillion in the government’s spending (Gallup 51).
Referring to this level of expedition, Americans will suffer higher taxation cases if Obama fails to win the forthcoming elections. His opponent, Mitt Romney, who is the only person who stands to, fit in Obama’s place if does not succeed, might not have the capability to cut down government spending. Consequently, middle class and high-class families will have to cover for the government’s level of spending through increased taxes (Edwards 52). Additionally, there will be further repercussions if Obama does not win his bid for another term at the White House. There will be no way to meet his deficit reduction plan, job creation will slow down, and wages will decline. Obama is committed to have the America job market continue growing strong (Gallup 57). He is also determined to see that American middle class families are growing stronger and he is a chief supporter of increased wages for American workers.
Truthfully, the people of America will suffer insurmountable repercussions if Obama fails to make it to the president’s sit once more. All these plans awaiting implementation will be facing a dead end as very few Republican hopefuls who might want to foster or continue with Obama’s policies (Edwards 70). With reference to a report brought forward by the CBN news, Obama has worked tirelessly to see the American troops in foreign lands fighting to maintain peace at the expense of Americans come back home. In 2010, he commissioned the return of over 50,000 soldiers in Afghanistan back to America in a bid to ensure reduction of government expenditure and attain a policy that ensured end of war in the Middle East (Lowe 77). He maintains that, if he is given another term at the White House, he will be in apposition to not only return soldiers home, but also end the war with Iraq and Afghanistan as well as maintain peace within these states.
Specifically, there will repercussions such as increased government expenditure on military upkeep, increased cost of living due to increased taxation, and America will continue to face more acts of terrorism by retaliation from these states (Gallup 66). The government will not be able to have reduced spending or a balanced financial spectrum but will have an increase in debt. In a second term, Obama promises to return most manufacturing and assembling activities to America. Previously, American industries relied heavily on outsourcing manufacturing jobs to China and Israel. Nevertheless, when he came to power, Obama helped General Motors and other companies bring back the art of manufacturing to the US soil (Edwards 76). He plans to continue doing so if he gets another chance to be at the White House.
Conceptually, America will suffer a great deal in economic staggering if Obama fails to enter the White House for a second term. Ideally, just as stated, the American job market will grow weaker everyday as there will be no support of internal manufacturing and assembling services. Generally, Obama has worked tirelessly to ensure Americans get employment opportunities in order to have their living standards improved (Lowe 86). Systemically, Americans stands to suffer this repercussion if they do not elect Obama for a second term. On another end, Obama believes he can the America’s energy dependence on foreign states reduced by a great margin if elected once again. Obama finds it necessary and easy to him to set policies and platforms that will oil imports and other energy sources cut down by half before 2020 (Edwards 84).
He has done a lot in terms of reducing America’s dependence on energy from overseas cartels over his term as opposed to the last 20 years. By reducing dependence on oil imports from those turbulent countries in the Middle East and Venezuela, he also improves America’s security. Reducing interactions with these ever unstable nations can have a huge impact on the country’s security system since there will be no close ties that may result to conflict of interest hence lead to an upsurge of war and terror activities (Gallup 75). In addition, Obama and his policy for Obama care and Medicaid can generally see America move towards health stability. Hypothetically and rather knowingly, the people of America may not see a stabilized medical program in the near future if they fail to re-elect Obama for a second term (Lowe 99).
In conclusion, reports indicate that Mitt Romney and his counterpart Ryan Paul have been involving themselves in a series of campaigns aimed at challenging Obama’s bid for a second term by terming his re-election a repeat of the previous. Moreover, they are against Obama’s medical care policy, which seeks to ensure every American has access to cheap and quality medical support (Edwards 95). Profoundly, Americans may fail to have all these preferences if they do not elect Obama for a second term. Frankly, there will be great repercussions if Obama fails to sit at the White House once more (Gallup 91). Hypothetically, taxes will rise, job market will grow weaker, health status will deteriorate, and the manufacturing sector will continue to outsource its activities hence the US economy will weaken if Obama does not succeed in becoming the US president for the second time.
