Data from the readings showed a steady increase in CO2 emissions. The map of the world shows low CO2 emission because fossil fuels combustion had not began. Accumulation levels of CO2 increase rapidly over the years especially in the Northern Hemisphere. The annual growth rates of CO2 emissions are an indication of the high amounts of CO2 concentration that have caused the greenhouse effect and therefore contributed to global warming.

...Environmental Science Lab Starbuck is the global leader in coffee retailing. The company has thousands of coffee shops distributed all over the world. Most of the coffee shops are located in U.S and U.K. For every cup of coffee sold by Starbucks, there are underlying costs to the environment. It is therefore important to make an evaluation of the processes and materials used to get the coffee on the table with an aim of determining with certainty the amount of environmental impact of these coffee shops. Most of the coffee cups sold by Starbuck coffee outlets all over the world including Denver Colorado are made of paperboard. The constituent materials include trees, ink, plastics. ... Transportation My main mode of transportation is road. I live in Denver, Colorado, and on a daily basis I usually drive my car to all my destinations. I find road transportation, and particularly driving my car to be remarkably convenient as compared to other modes of transportation. Driving my car is cheap, fast and efficient. I do not have to queue, pay and board a public plane or ship in order for me to reach my destination (Reggiani & Schintler 311). The above can be very stressful I prefer driving my own car, and as a result, I maintain my privacy and peace of mind. Driving my car has made it possible for me to keep my appointments since I usually arrive at my destinations on time. It is easy to travel by road because I... Transportation...

...of rewards for all-output production. For farmers to achieve such output, they need to use heavy machinery on vast lands and huge usage of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, which discourages small farmers interested in any farming. This could be reversed by re-introduction of initial bills that valued quality other than quantity. 3. Ian points out that in his great grandfather’s day, 40-bushel-an-acre harvests were considered excellent. Today that same acre produces 180 bushels. The film suggests that this modern efficiency might be contributing to “overproduction” of food. Do you agree? Is it possible to produce too much?  I agree that the modern efficiency is contributing to overproduction of foods because...

...What I learned from Sustainable Designs Certainly, the greatest challenge today is to design buildings that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. A good balance between social, economic and environment objectives is indeed a solution to this problem. Sustainable buildings are free from toxins and have clean air. I learned that recycling materials from old buildings and renovation is the best environment choice. At Alliance Centre, a complete change was needed to accommodate sustainable environment. First, incandescent lights saw replacement with by CFLs, water conservation fixtures replaced outdated technology, interface recycled-content carpeting was used... I learned...

...Reflection over Journal Experience I must admit that the journal experience was the best thing that ever happened in my academic life. I have been able to learn many things in a broader perspective than I did when I joined the course. All the journal experiences have had a tremendous impact in my way of thinking about health, economics, and most importantly, the environment. The journal experiences have enabled me to reflect on myself as an important element of the global ecosystem. I have come to understand that my behavior while dealing with resources directly or indirectly affects the existence of other forms of life. For instance, the journal experience on good use and recycling of materials has influenced the way I utilize... over...
