Sources of CO2 Emissions - Lab Report Example

This report is a study on the expected levels of CO2 emissions over the next years following a study on its levels over the past forty years.

Hypothesis
Numerous human activities increase CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. The expected results from the readings would be an increase in atmospheric CO2 concentrations due to industrial activities burning fossil fuels. Global warming is a worrying product of this.

Methods
The data obtained for this report was from a study from the Global Monitoring Division which observed numerous in situ and remote measurements of atmospheric and solar CO2.

Results and Discussion
Data from the readings showed a steady increase in CO2 emissions. The map of the world shows low CO2 emissions because fossil fuel combustion had not begun. Accumulation levels of CO2 increase rapidly over the years, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. The annual growth rates of CO2 emissions are an indication of the high amounts of CO2 concentration that have caused the greenhouse effect and therefore contributed to global warming. Read More
